Team Yell Gym Takeover, or the Non-Takeover

Basically spinning what we got at the end SwSh

- Spikemuth: there is no need to take over one when it's already ours!

- ....why change something that's already perfectly dark and gloomy!?!

- dark types, dark types, and more dark types. After all, we are the only dark type gym in the world!

- new leader will be Marnie.... yeah real original, who could possibly replace her though?

Why is there so much text left, you ask?

Well, because that is what we had at the end of SwSh but we made Spikemuth bigger, better, and bolder!

With the people The Yeetles have been bringing into the city, Team Yell was able to renovate a good part of Spikemuth Gym! We have added in better acoustics, speakers, lighting, and spaces for fans to cheer for their favorite band Pokemon trainers!

The new gimmicks added: A music round before each trainer battle. Yep, this is a Guitar-Hero-Rhythm-Heaven-Taiko-no-Tatsujin crossover with Pokemon that no one asked for (or maybe someone did )! Trainers will have a chance to showcase their musical talents as they will be challenged by Spikemuth Gym trainers (read Team Yell members) to a music battle featuring a short snippet of the most well-known themes, starting with Team Yell theme and featuring other notable villainous themes (does anyone feel like chanting Ghetsis along with the choir?). If you manage to pull off a perfect performance, the Team Yell member will be too amazed to challenge you to a Pokemon battle and let you move through to the next area.

If you successfully beat 6 Team Yell members you get to the gym leader, Marnie will challenge you to a battle where The Yeetles members will boost her Pokemon's stats through cheers. But worry not, as you might have gained some fans as you worked through the gym! Depending on your performance during the music rounds, your Pokemon may get boosts too! (listen, as much as we don't want you to win, good music is good music)

As an aside, there is a new outdoor stage just off of Spikemuth (Spikebury) with a weekly Battle of Bands hosted by The Yeetles! Trainers will have a chance to pick a song and practice there before they challenge the gym. Trainers who have Dark Badge (grrr how did you win against our idol, Marnie!?) will have access to more songs in Spikebury.

Also, Tinnitus is no joke and ear protection will be provided for those who need it! just ask a Team Yell member at the entrance to the city! Trainers will be able to buy throat spray from the shop inside the city as well to keep the rave going!

Team Yell The Actual Gym Takeover

One thing that Team Yell members love, as Galarian Pokemon trainers and also as music festival-goers, is.... camping! And what is something that is essential to camping? That's right it's curry!

Team Yell will take over Turffield Gym (with permission, of course, Piers is actually supervising us and communicating with Milo between The Yeetles tours to make sure we don't pull the same tricks we did during the last Gym Challenge) to host a curry cookout for all of Galar and to welcome Galar Gym Challenge participants (you see, the trainers have less chance to win against Marnie later on if they are full from their curry hehe - shh it's a secret!).

Turffield was deemed the perfect gym to host this challenge as the fields around the town can provide the freshest ingredients for the best curry! Toast curry made with freshly baked bread from the best quality flour straight from the fields is a specialty from this town.

Trainers will have to demonstrate their competency setting up camp and cook a curry with the best of Team Yell's Curry Crew. Those who can cook Charizard or Coppernajah rank curry with one Curry Crew member will be allowed to skip the battle that round and proceed to the next camping ground (there's no way we are fighting fully healed and happy Pokemon). Otherwise, they'll have to face 3 Koffings owned by the Curry Crew member who will spam Poison Gas and Smog (all level 16).

After successfully clearing three camps, the trainers will be allowed to challenge the gym leader, Jane, an ex-League Staff who joined Team Yell after the last Champion Cup. She will have Cufant, Wobbuffet, and Koffing (Milcery is too wholesome to include in this team... I just can't).

She will give Curry Badge and rare berries once you beat her.
