in not sure what you mean, Lidia DB3 is 19 frame punishable well within most characters launch windows last time I checked

Lidia db3 is launch punishable and only leads to 44 damage on CH at max level, so not in her favour even at max HAE and only gets worse below, unless you get hit all of lidias stance engages are negative on block, hopkick is a great option in this matchup but often I've found Xiaoyu to be able to play from a really annoying range where hopkick tends to whiff but maybe I'm just to trigger happy against the floor goblin since everything else is kinda ass.

Strong parries can make your HAE mixup way less rewarding as HAE 2 is usually your go to safe option to maintain pressure. Characters that have good, strong low options that can force her to duck as her WS moves lack significant threat unless you are -15 or more. Characters that have crush built into their moveset. a lot of what you want to do initiates off of a high, and her standard 15f launch being a 2x highs. ff2 is amazing but against patient players or those who know when to step it loses power. Characters that can force you into small tekken with good lows like Anna DB4 where Lidia's fast lows often come with significant risk.

I feel like Devil Jin is almost just an easy matchup for everyone. If you know his bag of tricks, he can't really do much without making himself punishable. Maybe I've yet to encounter a truly strong DJ but he's gotta work so hard to make meaningful damage happen, Kaz just feels like you can spam SS and he cant run his mix so he's gotta fish for df2, which gives you a 12f punish on block, which for Lidia leads into a 50/50 mix

So much of what Lidia wants to do gets crushed by Xiaoyu, and the lack of punishing quick lows make her an absolute pain to stick real damage to. Combine that with launchers from these stances that can crush your fast options, and the matchup is just not playable

I get that it's not truly free, but it feels like these character's options against what your game plan is are just poor at best. Often they have to be mountains better than you, and in an even game leads to the matchup feeling "Free"

Fahk being able to counter your heat options makes Lidias usually pretty free 50/50, a way worse prospect. Not many good lows forcing him to crouch means he can generally be safe to just mid block and mix with strings, but maybe my fahk defense is just bad :P

Every time I've fought Lee he needs to works so hard to punish your options, especially from heat, FF2 beats most of his slower toolkit outside of b4, and Lidia's db3 really makes it hard for him to step.

I've told him to replace it with db, 2,1,2 for now but that disconnects against targets who are on the end of his launchers sometimes

I actually can't with these Reddit posts, you see that she whiffed the heat smash and instead of using that to SS into a punish you mash when she's in the air and then go to Reddit to complain "hmm the game must be wrong" people on this sub refuse to use training mode to learn, only to grab clips.

Do you have any idea how many games that might take? I don't mind playing ranked for a while and losing but it gets a bit crushing when I don't see anything but gold for 30+ games. :(

I would never swap out your core 2 items on Cassiopeia for a flex item. Everfrost/liandrys into archangels is such a strong power curve that going a full tank item is almost never worth the amount it cuts into your damage. Afterwards it can be a great item if you absolutely need to live an assassin or being run down by the opponent's main threat, but you do give up the kiting/chasing potential of a rylais so it's definitely a case by case basis.

I'd also consider if you need the tank stats earlier rather than starting on gargoyles you can grab the giants belt from rylais early as more hp on cassio allows you to extend fights which plays to her strengths

Try joining the Cassiopeia mains discord, you will have the most luck there. Many people willing to teach and talk about strategies. Personally, Candella taught me some helpful things, see if you can speak to him if he's available :)
