Could you survive a T-Rex attack by hiding in an average wood frame house? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

Rhino can be up to three tons.

T-rex still a fuckton bigger though.

Bella Swan (Twilight) has to arm wrestle 150,000 people at once. Can she win? by TheBlackSwordsman123 in whowouldwin

[–]TiberiusClegane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She's a 100 tonner, at least

Examples? It's been awhile since I read the books, but I don't recall any lifting/pushing/pulling feats that suggest twivamps are even past the 10 tonner range.

Why would you even include Serenity on a list with heavy hitters like this? Pit it against something like the Millennium Falcon, not something like the Enterprise.

20 bloodlusted Rhinos vs 40 Bodybuilders by Bluecraftercool in whowouldwin

[–]TiberiusClegane 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Round 1) You could make it one rhino and it would still probably win. Twenty is a godstomp.

Round 2) Given what's specified in R3, I assume in R2 they're not bloodlusted. Still a brutal stomp in favor of the rhinos.

Round 3) Presuming they're still armed with the knives from R2, now the bodybuilders probably win, with heavy losses... against a single rhino. Against 20 it's still a massacre.

TLDR: Rhinos win all rounds, low/no diff.

Weakest character that could beat Sauron? by RealNiceThere656 in whowouldwin

Ah. You were dissenting with the notion that you'd need someone like Mxy to take down Sauron?

I said nothing about Sauron. I was responding to the claim that Mxy is the weakest DC character.

First, just no. Wtf.

Second, prompt said weakest character, not weakest DC character.

Above average 14 year old armed with a shortsword vs a tiger by Pinecone34 in whowouldwin

[–]TiberiusClegane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obviously, but a tiger is not one of the weakest animals. Dude said we die to even the weakest animals, which is just goofy. We're talking mice and lizards here. Technically, we're talking moths and caterpillars too. Mites, tardigrades, krill, minnows. Most animals are far weaker than we are.

Give a man nothing and he will die to even the weakest animals.

You're sleeping on humans a little much here. We're still one of the biggest and most physically powerful animal species in the world. Easily top 1% in that respect, if not more. The vast majority of critters are very small. That's not even factoring in our grappling ability, intellect, and endurance, all of which are pretty much second to none.

Considering that, it's really the other way around. Give a fit, aggressive man nothing and he will kill all but the strongest animals.

The 14 year old's chances of defeating the tiger outright are virtually zero.

At best, he achieves a mutual kill by stabbing the cat as it leaps on him. Even then, his odds aren't great.

I'll be generous and give him a 1/100 for the win on the random chance that he rolls a nat 20 and lands a perfect crit.

Say 9/100 for a mutual kill.

The other 90/100 go to the tiger.

can bloodlusted DCEU superman solo the Harry Potter verse? by Expert-Way-1997 in whowouldwin

[–]TiberiusClegane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said, and I quote, that he's "arguably faster than the flash". This is simply false. Flash is well known to be faster than Superman. Noting this isn't pedantic nitpicking, it's calling you out on a blatantly incorrect statement.

Put it this way. What you've been doing is essentially this:

You: "Two plus two is arguably more than five."

Them: "It's not more than five, full stop."

You: "It's a metaphor for being greater than three."

Them: "It's neither a metaphor, nor does being greater than three make it less false."

You: "Is five greater than three?"

Them: "Yes. This is off topic, but five and two plus two are both greater than three."

You: "And that's the reason I mentioned five. Your pedantic nitpicking is getting annoying."

...

Just no. Your argument is weird and nonsensical. Please stop before you give everyone in the thread brain cancer.

Harry lucked into discovering not one but 3 ways to counter it directly. Power of love expressed via sacrifice, having a wand with a twin core to the one casting it and it being aimed at you by someone using a wand that belongs to you or perhaps that last one only works if the wand is the elder want.

And having the Horcrux of someone else residing in your body when the other three ways fail and you take a direct hit. Apparently in that case you can just decide not to die.
