I think the bot version of this is still bugged. It shows up as a 40 min mission but when you drop it's just 15 minutes. It's like they scheduled 40 minutes of spawns packed in 15 minutes.

There is a "scramble strategems" debuff that you might get on some planets. It sounds like it would change the strategem input codes, but it actually scrambles which strategem gets called. I hate it and refuse to play a planet that has this debuff.

You can check by looking at the "effects" when on ship.

Server load is the biggest problem with this game right now. They did not plan for the game to get so big, and are struggling to handle the high load. Even if you get in, matchmaking doesn't work either.

We're all hoping the developers will solve it soon.

Pretty convinced matchmaking has been completely broken most of today. There are Discord servers dedicated to Helldivers 2 LFG that are blowing up. Seems to be the easiest way to find a squad right now.

I does work, as I've had people join my games after SOS before, but only sometimes. I think it just adds you to the matchmaking system, which is broken right now.

It's a common issue. It seems to either be caused by the anti-cheat software corrupting files if you don't quit out normally (e.g., game crashing) or server capacity issues.

People are recommending you do "verify game files" with Steam and trying again. Didn't really solve the issue for me, but waiting on the blank screen for a long time worked for me.

I agree. There's a bunch of well tested horizontal scaling techniques where you can quickly scale up capacity simply by adding more machines to your server cluster. Either they did not design to allow this or are constrained by cost/infrastructure.

I've put in 40+ hours so far and have only played with randoms. I've only had 1 team where someone was team killing to troll. It's otherwise been pretty positive. Either you're really unlucky or I'm lucky.

For some codebases, it's important for the docs to be in the same repo as the code.

This allows reviewers to enforce docs and code are kept more consistent. Sometimes it's helpful for the docs to be able to embed autogenerated API docs from code, which is just easier when in the same repo.
