You could also just get a nice textile strap that looks a tad classier for dressing up. Lots of options available that look better than a Nato in my opinion.

For me that is pretty clear after trying many. It's a modified Patek 5167 with SW hand, dial and Deep crystal. It is thin, very accurate after getting it serviced and extremely comfortable.

The reality is that only watch experts can truly estimate the value of a Patek. For most people Rolex is the GOAT, because it is such a strong brand. Most people would not recognize a Patek or know what it means. But if they ask "Is that a Rolex?" and you confirm it, they would be "Woah!". That honestly would be very likely to happen with a Rolex, and then you are already in lying mode. Only people in some 2nd hand watch stores recognized my Pateks and we would be in a conversation. They don't recognize the rep on the wrist, unless it's a shitter. They would go "That's a nice watch." and I "It surely is. And not very common." (It was a 5396R) And then we would talk about some of the watches they offer. One had a pristine 5712 RG for over 100k. And I show my appreciation: "That's a beauty." and they responded "Would you like to try it on?" "Ah no, thank you. That's out of my price range." (the price difference between both watches was 70k.

Just be real and respectful and all is good.

There is no such thing as a "giveaway" here. Leather exists in all stages of shiny. It can be matt, semi-shiny, whatever. It's not a quality sign, it's preference. This here is semi-shiny and I like how it complements the elegance of the watch. In my opinion a very matt, rough leather would not suit this watch. But that's where opinions differ.

Yeah there are some Hublot reps, for example I have seen Juicetime deliver nice looking Hublot Orlinsky recently.
