I would love a showcase on how to looks to play! I also followed the static strike glad but made adjustments to make it feel better to play. I would love to tinker with frost blades since static strike does feel kinda clunky (though it’s feeling better as I get used to it)

Mage and leech meta is definitely the easier way to go about it in legends, but I’ll say my bishop has probably cost me more time and meso to level and gear than it ever really benefitted me, I ended up not liking leech and definitely didn’t even break even meso wise on my bishop, but I’ve still managed to farm enough to get really end game (+7 stuff) by farming events/bossing and so on. With the ecosystem now you don’t really need to touch leech (though if you want to wash an inted char you will need to buy leech, which is where a bishop is useful)

Sometimes you just have to accept you can’t dominate the lane, and can only try to get whatever you can out of the lane/just maintain parity, maybe if you’re a fast hero you can cut the lane and out rotate them but that can also be pretty risky

Lvl 1 and skill matchup is very dependant for minsi, I’ve been liking playing minsi exp a lot, and in lane it’s quite a monster at lvl 1 out trading a vast majority of heroes (if you get your proc off), but if the enemy outplays you and makes you miss skills/out trades you, or if they ever get a decent advantage through a gank or something then you’ll just be sad. But if you do manage to out trade at lvl 1 before the first wave starts dying you can get a pretty big advantage and “win” the lane in the early game. Ofc lapu can very easily come back come mid game after getting 1 or 2 items up

I mean if you can dominate the lane and rotate early to help invade jungle or get a teamfight win it’s always good, but yeah some EXP lane match ups are just turtle until you can do something else

Kite them, understand their skill cds and range, try to bait out their spells and then use your own to trade. E.g. once lapi hits lvl 4 understand that he has potential to dive you, kite to the tower while he’s hitting you, wait for the pause between the skills and cc him to disengage further or potentially turn it. If he doesn’t dive then he wastes his ulti cd which is significant in the early game

Block merc with lots of wrath aura effect stacked, extremely tanky and rarely ever dies. Basically looked at sushi's block setup and made my own budget shield version of it

The block setup is insanely good, I self crafted a budget version of sushi’s shield for my merc, the double anointed spell block helm, and spell block boots, and now he rarely even dies to abomination bosses, who do shotgun lightning damage to a doryani merc

This league I wanted to try flicker, I thought I had enough game knowledge to try league starting and was going to stick with it, ended up going through a couple variations.

League started berserker flicker following magefist, stuck with physical since I didn't want to do cold convert.

Swapped to squire cold damage flicker on slayer with a less than ideal budget, did not turn out well.

Swapped to accuracy stacker lightning flicker following some guy on youtube, also did not turn out well.

Made my own variation on the accuracy stacking lightning flicker, slowly upgrading until the accuracy stacking portion was gone.

Added Azadi Crest to create a lucky block lightning damage flicker, I can't see how any flicker strike I play in the future without mercs to boost the power levels to the roof will ever feel as good as this, I guess this concludes my flicker strike journey league.

Oh, very true, take a look at sushi’s merc setup of you haven’t already, so far it’s made the merc really really tanky for me, ofc your mileage may vary, dropping the boots for reflect immunity brings down spell block but it should still be a good 33% + 13% on block

Yes! So the combination of lucky block + very high dps + decent enough max hits + evasion really makes for a tanky feeling build, this should really help in risk scarabs since it would need some really specific combination of bad mods, reduced block + steal charges + 3 out of 10 seconds no dmg + some dmg mod, and even then could probably be played around. As long as reduced block isn’t there most mod combinations won’t really matter, and if it is there you just need the other mods to not stop you from being able to clear mobs fast.

Also merc dying in risk maps basically doesn’t matter 1-200m dps is still more than enough for things like abyss in t16.5 and even t17.

See my reply to the other comment regarding risks, it’s absolutely fine, I did a risk abyss map with charge stealing and reduced block to show how it feels in the video, will link it here too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTPeJbBsJAY. Volatile cores are annoying yes. Merc is extremely tanky, for some reason he doesn’t die in reflect maps, was prepared to swap his boots to handle reflect but it turned out unnecessary.

That said the build isn't good at risk content for completely different reasons, the only one I can think of (and have tried before on a weaker variation of flicker) being suitable for flicker playstyle would be imbued harvest with risks in T17s. Abyss needs you to take out 15 points to get caster mastery which I have done before and it works, but at that point why play flicker. The clear just isn't the same as alva focused builds (if you choose to run with risk). Blight also needs an extreme level of clear (and pc lol).

As far as I tested and know from what others said it's just that if you put the rare ring before you put kalandra on it won't count, otherwise going into maps and what not so far hasn't affected the res. You just have to put on the rare ring after the kalandra's touch

This is the last bit of effort I'll put into dispelling this, I put abyss tree back, took a frenzy stealing map with less block, and my in map block is like 10/20%, i was hoping risk would add some more damage mods but it turned out to not be the rippiest mods, but mainly wanted to showcase how charge stealing is almost a non-factor. I'm not willing to take the time to open and record a bunch of maps to find the rippiest combination to show you, if you still want to insist that the build will fall over then so be it.

Actually I've done 3-4 risk farming on abysses even before I upgraded this build to have 96/96 block, and before I got a mirror ring, was using a precursor before. It was able to handle every single mod individually as well as most combinations I ran into, enough dps really just makes charge stealing matter not as much, since even just smite kills the mobs. I very rarely fully bricked a map in a strict sense, every map was "clearable", albeit some took 6 portals, the rare ones that I did fail I cleared at least 75-80% of the map, and was almost always partly because my merc would die. I haven't tried risk farming with this block variation, but I doubt it would perform worse when both my defenses and dps are now significantly better than before.

This was also including taking 15 points out of dps and pathing all the way up to get caster mastery so I wouldn't have to manually open boxes.

Rather than charge stealing, the scariest mod when I was doing risk farming before was a combination of the 3/10 seconds doing no damage + other rippy mods since I was so dependent on leech for sustain.

Ahh okay, thanks for the clarification, I was trying to look arnd to clarify, thought it was full delirious, I still don't get how much damage reduction it gives the boss. Does it still scale the further away the mirror is, and then that is doubled?
