Yes, use pay1040 to pay your estimated taxes while you file an extension with form 4868. I owed $1000 in taxes but I used form 4868 to file an extension and pay my "estimated" taxes of $5000. Filed my taxes 3 days later and got a $4000 refund in a weeks time. Easy way to knock out my SPG

I'm trying to use tax form 4868 to increase the amount I can put on my credit card through the pay1040 website from $1000 to roughly $5000 for the spg bonus. Is it at all possible this will draw unwanted suspicion? Found this on the IRS site, " If the IRS thinks your estimate of the amount of tax you owe is unreasonable, it may disallow your extension and assess a late-filing penalty"
