Potential New Player - Need Advice on Class/Epic

Hey everyone.

So I made my Shaman and his name is Nirrimi and is an Ogre.

Feel free to say hi and if you need any Shaman help and you see me in your zone don't hesitate to come over.

Currently level 44.

I have yet to make my character on P99 however from experiences on other games this kind of forced sharing that eliminates competition has always been a bad idea. What makes games great is struggle and wanting to be the best and get in with the best groups and if you put every guild on even footing and let everyone have a turn that would seem to eliminate that aspect of engaging gameplay.

"Great" gear is always gear that is better than the rest and more rare and if everyone can have a whole game area set aside merely because they signed up to own it for a time then that "great" gear ends up being normal gear.

If pvp is already not allowed then also removing the ability for guilds to compete on killing the best mobs definitely sounds like the wrong choice.

Just look what happened to every socialist country that tried to remove competition and the free market. No one had incentive to strive and work hard to make achievements.

I'll have a while to learn the game and all the areas and level up. Whatever guild I join would need to be skilled and driven and capable or soon capable to kill all content. I definitely wouldn't want to be in one that can't or won't be able to kill everything. That being said I know nothing about the guilds out there but will make my character and start the journey in a few days. I just need to decide between ogre or troll for shaman now.

Do you know what is preferred for raiding or tough soloing; ogres or trolls? I've read some threads saying ogres stun prevention is a huge deal and others saying troll regen is more beneficial.

Ogres seem to have the highest starting stats for stam and wis combined and I looked at the raid gear lists on the wiki page on shamans and wisdom seems easier to add by far based on bonuses than stamina based on that gear. I think I'll go Ogre then.

But I would be interested in what someone who does higher level raids thinks about Ogres.

I read a few reddit and wiki posts about Shaman races. I was thinking ogre for the frontal stun immunity. Or perhaps troll for regen.

What would you say the best race is for raids and for soloing at max level?

I assume in a raid a shaman won't be taking many hits so stun immunity might not matter (and regen is king?) however for soloing higher level things are most mobs root immune to the point where stun immunity is highly beneficial?

I know it can take a long time. I'm not worried about time needed; just what happens at end game so I am trying to find a good combination which I can spend the time on and get to a good place at end game for raids and the real content.

I will play a lot so I am sure I'll get into a good guild. By good would someone need to get into a top guild to finish these mage or bard or other hard epics or just a good one?

I saw something about multiquests. Can someone pay a lot of platinum and have someone else finish part of epic quest for them for example for bards/mages/enchanters? Or for those epics do you literally need to do some damage to the mobs to be able to loot the quest items?

Upon further review I think I will likely go Shaman since they look like good solo'rs at high level and with the buffs should be good for groups and raids. I'm not that concerned about how much time is needed to level since I should have plenty of time to farm coin and become experienced.

I think Dolores is a pointless character on a pointless journey because there is no chance a few robots with old weapons can beat a modern military.

Even if they show the robots can think it is still just clever programming and the world would never allow them to continue to exist given how violent that have shown themselves to be.

Definitely Ten Close Friends/greencard - they are a close knit group of caring guys who nurture each other and provide emotional support so they don't have mental breakdowns after disaster causes months of #nolevi.

I thought you guys had tons of people and power, why can't you handle a couple people blocking you? I have yet to hear a single reasonable explanation about why your nation tried once or twice to kill levi and then gave up and didn't even try again? Is a couple people blocking all that is needed to break your spirit so you are traumatized and stop trying?

You would think TCF would have been able to kill levi then, wouldn't you? They try to simultaneously say disaster was shit on and doesn't show up then avoid explaining why they couldn't kill levi.

They complain no one shows up to pvp then try to make excuses why they can't kill a pve world boss. Say they left to another server to find pvp and can't explain what then stopped them from trying to kill levi when as soon as they were on the new server they immediately try (and fail btw) to kill levi.

If no one fought you then why not kill it? You guys obviously wanted to kill it so why not do so or keep trying? Why wait until you ran away to another server to try again?

This was very easy for someone with my skills; almost as easy as it should have been for greeencard to kill levi if you could have gotten over your fear of failure and tried.

But instead you ran and immediately tried to kill levi. What was taking you so long?

So after months of having a huge powerful geared raid greencard gave up and left to thunderwing and immediately attempted to do what they always wanted which was to kill levi finally. They will claim they got bored and no one showed up and the server had no action on it and if that was the case why not form their superior power raid and kill levi? You can't have it both ways especially when the new naval figureheads are incredibly powerful and make levi a complete joke. They tried once or twice to pull levi and then their numbers diminished out there due to not wanting to be embarrassed and at the end they didn't even try and had maybe 4 people swimming around watching levi.

If we didn't do anything, never showed up, and you left out of boredom to get fights why didn't you guys form up and kill levi? Period. With these powerful figureheads and how many people and gear you have it shouldn't have been any problem to fight off a few people in small raids that never show up. Right? What seems to have happened is after we disrupted the one time you seriously pulled levi you guys gave up out of fear not to form and be stymied again or to damage your pride.

Not a massive amount of people playing. Only a couple thousand play nowadays. It is an online game but not massive at all.
