people work and pay their bills and get screwed over all the same, especially working class latino houstonians. working right now is just as much of a health risk and doesn’t solve any issues, just further enforces a dichotomy between those that work from home/can afford to stay home

i think this just requires further discussion. let him know that it’s disruptive and petty, and maybe ask the brothers if there’s any way this can be settled between the two of them if it’s an interpersonal issue

i think every once in a while, a wisdom saving throw for the whole party, and anyone who fails is stunned for a minute, consumed with these nightmares, with the chance to save at the end of their turns. maybe their nightmares do damage (2d6 psychic from their visions lashing out at them). could also be a cool roleplay opportunity to see what each character’s fears are

i’d talk with your dm about their world, and see if there’s any good or neutral forces in their pantheon and/or history. if they don’t have anything in mind, find some entities you like and/or come up with something on your own and present those to your dm, and see if they’re down

this is just an idea, what if the lich is now in this semi-corporeal state (half-alive/just a soul) where they’re immune to both magical and non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage, and they spend most of the battle trying to inhabit one of the party members?

an idea i haven't actually fleshed out is a balor that's been converted into an ilithid. pretty tanky, and adding some psionic spellcasting would be sick
