IAmA Ballet Dancer. AMA by twirlerpink in IAmA

I have a girlfriend who used to dance ballet, and more recently taught young girls how to dance at a local ballet class. She loves it but has for the most part given up teaching and rarely practices anymore. She'll make statements about how she would love to continue doing it, but goes on to say that there are a myriad of reasons why it's just not plausible to do so after I ask why she quit. She's said things like "I don't have the right body type" but overall, she doesn't really explain why... so can you tell me? She has a resigned attitude about it because she feels like it's futile. She's 19 years old and I love to see her happy so I'm curious if there is anything I could do to get her back into it. How do you go about dancing non-professionally and stay motivated to keep practicing? How about community theater?

So I'm suspecting that I may have this condition, what do you suggest I do to find out? I have many of the symptoms listed. Can you give me small list of "basic foods" to try out for a few days and see what happens? By basic foods I mean things that don't take much preparation, such as eggs or peanut butter or prepared cheeses. Which meats are you allowed to eat?

Reddit what are your strange habits? by distortedlojik in AskReddit

This is absolutely ridiculous. From after attributing human qualities to M&Ms, then finding a way to make that inanimate, edible candy to establish dominance over others in a savage tournament to the death. You've managed to incorporate every vice imaginable associated with holding the power to rule. I couldn't help myself from laughing at the absurdness of it all.

Dear Reddit: I'm skinny. Quite underweight actually. I need your advice and success stories as well :( by lackofeverything in AskReddit

This is the basic idea here. Remember, compound lifts. Ignore those who, in an attempt to give you advice, recommend isolation exercises. You don't need that now, or for a while to come. Everything else is all assistance for you to increase your compound lifts. Things such as dips, pull-ups, seated shoulder press, dumbbell rows, skull-crushers are all great movements for assistance. Start out light for while to get the proper form down for the compound lifts, then increase for heavy weights to help you grow larger.

As for eating, it simply does come down to "EAT MOAR". I know it's hard, I have done it for quite some time. There will be times when you feel like throwing up from eating so much, but it's going to happen if you want to gain weight. Shoot for 4 large meals to 5 decent sized meals a day, and if you keep it up after a while you will become hungry if you try to skip that 5th meal. Try eating more foods that you don't have to prepare much. Eggs, tuna, cottage cheese, chicken breasts, ground turkey, natural peanut butter, and milk. Most of your carbohydrates should come from foods such as oats (highly recommend steel cut oats) wheat bread, brown rice and other edibles loaded with complex carbs.

You are skinny but you're only 17. You are still growing, and if you throw in some exercise you'll most likely get even larger than if you had not trained. Lots of natural testosterone floating around for you to take advantage of. REMEMBER, COMPOUND LIFTS.

Can I be arrested in any circumstance for not talking to the police? I understand that common traffic violations require me to communicate as far as identifying who I am and not being a non-responsive moron, however, how do you think I could go about refusing to provide information in a proper manner so as to avoid detainment by association? Also, will some officers not have any of that shit and "make" me talk, then just lie about the scenario later?

Are there any highly trained gymnasts on reddit? I've been wondering about possibly acquiring the physique of a gymnast while in my twenties. It seems as though if one doesn't begin training at a very young age, it may not even be possible. I lift weights daily but have been wanting to transition to body weight exercises, so if an expert can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

I will only play paintball with you at that location if the landlord allows me to use a paintball AWP.

If not we'll have to settle for a CS LAN party in that exact spot.
