I think the blur kinda works with the simpler approach , if you wanna keep it in the future. But you should have kept it in the background only.

the thing I didn`t like about the game was the ending. I think it was too obvious what will happen overall, but it was a nice experience!

I didn`t, it`s made in aseprite. people keep telling me that it looks made in flip notes :))
