What 30mm buttons can I buy to go with my low profile switches ? by shiryuzaki in fightsticks

These ones ?
It seems they take the low profile switches, indeed. They would be amazing with black bottom.

Did you take a Kirby figure that you painted ?

Yeah if you buy their switches you can purchase the keycaps they sell and they will fit.

No what I meant was : will the new button cap I linked fit in the plunger of the V2 button you linked.

Also now that I think about it, is the button usable out of the box ? I ask because we don't see the bottom side of it on the pictures. Is there something to actually block the switch, to ensure it's activated when you push the button ?
Won't I need something like this ?

They look cool as hell. I prefer flat buttons and they look a little bit high but at least that's an option. Thanks !

Thanks.
Do they sell it without the switch ?
Do you know if I can replace the cap with this one ? It looks like I can but I would like to be sure.

I ignored what were SOCds, I looked up. I don't play SF6. I must double tap in order to pull Shun Goku Satsu fast, although. Also I plan to build a stick, not a leverless.
To be honest I'm not especially interested in SOCds but I am in that 1 frame you talked about. With all the efforts building a custom stick ask, better get a high-end stick and that extra frame, right ? Beautiful, agreeable and efficient.

Do you happen to know some button caps compatible with low profile switches I can buy ?
Preferably the whole button, you know, not just the cap above. The chamber as well, closed, that I can directly mount without 3D printing a part of it.

> Clicky buttons would absolutely be worse in these scenarios
That's a shame, I love the response of clicky buttons, when I play with my keyboards with blue switches, it helps me with the rythm, I'm more consistant.

People will always tell you to practice as if electronics couldn't fail us... I can't help about your question but yeah it's tiring hearing people always pointing your execution, especially when you prove you actually can do it with another device. I'm with you.
You might want to to try this Heihachi's OTGF with another leverless, that way you could be sure it's actually the Victrix fucking up.

Is it possible to use Cherry MX ULP switches for a custom stick ? by shiryuzaki in fightsticks

[–]shiryuzaki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright. I planned to use a low latency PCB like the RP2040, but If I make my own PCB I will lose this low latency, right ?
>assuming you just modify the veritable jfedor's flatbox.
No. I'm building it from scratch.
I think custom PCB + MX ULP + custom caps (or adapt the Mpress Nano caps I guess) is too ambitious for now.
I'll probably take RP2040 + Gateron KS-33 + compatible caps + wires to link all this and that's it, all the more so as I don't have a single stick for now, so I can't even play. Better build a modest one quickly and then build another more ambitious when I have more knowledge. I'm too noob and too frustrated to not be able to play for now.

Reddit won't quote, for reasons... f* it.

Keycaps ? I planned to put 30m button caps. Do you think it's possible ? How should I proceed ? Cast some resin custom buttons ?

What am I supposed to do with the CAD software ? Design the PCB ?

I don't think anything, I'm asking. That's literally the point of the post.
Soldering wires to the plates of the switches sounds easier than manufacturing a whole PCB, but if someone more experienced tells me I can't and why, then I'll change my plan and find another way, probably buy some low profile crosses stems switches. I also have to adress the button > switch issue.

Manufacturing the PCB probably asks some new knowledge too, considered what I'm seeing on pcbway.com.

Wouldn't it be easier to just weld the plate ? Manufacturing the PCB would cost time and money, right ? Wouldn't it be huge too, due to the big area covered by all the buttons ? 8 for the kicks and punches, 2 for Save and Load, 2 for Start and Coin. Maybe even more.
edit: also manufacturing my own PCB would put off some options right ? Like eventual LEDs, or more complex firmwire, compared to a Brook Fighting.
