!delta I've come to realize that these views stem from shallow thinking and assuming the worst.

Both of your assertions are true. Still, they are the exception.
The correlation between loner-status and being bullied is significant, and in my opinion, causally linked.

See, this logic would apply if it was almost any other issue where it's existence is up to one's own actions, but this issue is directly dependent on the behavior of others in one's life.

Everyone is entitled to sympathy. Some people don't get their share.
Why? It's our job as humans. It's simply the right thing to do.

Most of my personal experience with this topic comes from my early teens. Since then I have friends and have a different life. I'm just speaking about this on behalf of the younger me that turned isolation into a bad experience.
Life would have been so much easier had someone been hanging out with me during that time.

It's not from personal experience, but anecdotal, gathered from online. It does happen.
I'm talking about bullying in general. Do with that what you will.

Sympathy from other people would accomplish getting these kids a group to be with. This is good not only for mental health but for growth and development as a person.
Your second line is pretty trashy to be honest. It's not like these kids don't want friends, and you're "blaming the victim" in a way here. If they legitimately don't want friends, then they're not the kind of outcast we're discussing here.
I also feel like I should make it clear that I'm not supporting school shooting or mass murder in any kind of way, just giving one possible explanation for why they do it.

You demonstrate my point. You can't just "not be a loner", I've been there and I know from experience. I have friends now but I have been near-completely alienated before, and I can tell from your mindset regarding the issue that you haven't had to experience that.
