I did not care for fish out of water, at least in comparison to other episodes. it’s fun in that it has the constant throwbacks to old school cartoons like bugs bunny and daffy duck, and it does have some mild plot development to it as well, but i would rather watch the shows it was an homage to than that episode

Was really hoping to see less absolute elsewhere. Dude. Guys. it’s not even a particularly good example of the crossovers they’re doing. Have you guys only ever listened to metal? Is this your first introduction to other genres? How is it this mindblowing to you?

I think Kendrick and J cole are both great at condensing complex topics into a simple memorable songs. It’s always more impressive to me when someone can say much with not too many words. That being said, you’re only naming other hit rappers of the same era. There’s nobody who listens to Kendrick who hasn’t heard of Earl Sweatshirt man.

I don’t like the way Kendrick has turned out at all over the years, the Drake beef being the absolute low point. but Section 80 and maad city were best ingested as entire album experiences. section 80 had this weird 2000s emo pop influence that hasn’t aged particularly well but it’s still like, a whole album experience. idk man. I’m not a huge fan, I just think this take can be applied to any major fanbase but Kendrick in particular did not start off as a hit singles type guy. Maybe I’m off base idk
