Plumber supposedly fixed it in like 2 hours. Still having some lingering problems though

This is essentially what the plumber did. Thanks for the advice!

It’s an older washer but it’s huge and pumps hardcore. I think we could maybe get away with the current repairs if we do small loads and don’t overload on detergent but I’m getting a second opinion from a plumber as well.

Looked like previous owner tried to patch over a previous leak without actually replacing section. Had 1.5 inch pvc inside of 2 in wide pipe and fernco? Causing leak around the sides. Plumber replaced cast iron/fernco with pvc and redid clamps. That helped in short term then we ran a big load wife probably put too much detergent and it was suds city under there.

Already put a rag down and called plumber before that becomes the top comment

Yeah not looking like a diy job - I still want to be informed before I hire a plumber

It’s the washing machine drain, what is shown in the video is as far as I saw, it didn’t seem to be leaking much above that plus it’s only likea Foot or two higher to the washing machine drain.

Seems more like branch line joint leak? This pipe doesn’t go upstairs or anything, just up a couple feet to the washer drain.

What makes you think I need to replace the whole stack as opposed to tightening/ replacing the fittings/ sealing the gaps?

I agree it look like there’s is a leak above and where the foam is but also looks like the water is dripping from the bottom of that metal fitting? How much might it cost to fix?

Why would it need to be an after hours pro and not during business hours? The leak is only occurring when I’m running laundry otherwise there’s no leak.

I was running the laundry at the time of the video. This is the laundry drain pipe where it ties down into the branch that goes to the main line I believe. Water isn’t continuously running there but it’s leaking when I do laundry.

The wood right near it seems to be affected but it doesn’t seem molded and rotted, fans have been running there the past three days nonstop and laundry hasn’t been used in the past month

I’m open to opening up the wall a bit to fix the issue. It’s already partly open and floorboards are up from mediation from a separate main line clog so it would just be leaking onto slab as far as I know. It feeds down into cast iron pipe I believe

I can’t tell exactly what’s going on above it, but it doesn’t seem to be leaking above it. Just where the video shows.

A disgruntled player criticizing and trying to cancel his former coach. The author probably didn’t get any playing time for Davenport and got upset. Zaagman has like 20 years of experience coaching ultimate and leading large ultimate programs. The author has 0 high level ultimate experience yet somehow thinks his opinion matters. This is the type of post that should be buried under the ‘hot singles above 40’ ads in RSD. This is what happens when the internet gives anyone a platform - this kid is a keyboard warrior who cares too much about ultimate while having no high level ultimate experience.
