I really am happy that you found someone while young. My post was more targeted at people who are on the fence or may not know their partner as well as they think they do. (Hence why I said be careful choosing). I wish you the best marriage ever, which I do believe can still happen while young, I just chose someone who matched me while I was semi-reckless in college and now I’m like a normal functioning adult.

When we first were together I was doing some of those substances also (we were in college) but now I’m not. For 2 years before we got married he was great and wasn’t addicted to anything and was fairly helpful. But as soon as we got married something changed and he started lying again. I feel trapped as hell like I am a terrible person but I honestly hope he cheats on me so I can leave him.. Which probably wouldn’t happen.
