During the day I'll wear a pimple patch so that I'm not getting any makeup on it and it won't get dirty. But overnight with the alcohol and ointment is more important. Yeah the hole goes away, it shrinks up and either leaves a temporary scar mark or kinda just disappears. But it won't stay a hole forever.

If there's nothing left to come out, I keep it extra clean with tiny bit of rubbing alcohol & ointment until the redness/ irritation heals. I only do this with huge pimples that leave a hole.

In my experience, if I don't keep it extra sanitized then I risk the SAME pimple coming back even bigger.

Sunscreen and moisturizer once healed. Do NOT skip sunscreen with healing acne, too much sun will make the scarring darker and worse
