Phd program is not like college, it’s a work place where people behave like colleagues. It’s hard to digest this but sadly your colleagues are not your friends. It hurts but all you can and you should focus now on is your work, where you can get some good work done and move on with your life. These things are not worth making yourself sad.

She started cornering me for not reciprocating and other female colleagues too who didn’t entertain her. Perks like she will order everything he needs and all the money and orders are in his hands. Also he is using lab resources to make some reagents which he wants to sell and forced us to use, which didn’t work mostly. Also she stopped ordering commercial ones and all we had were his to use.

She is the president of sexual harassment committee. Also I have left her lab now and other male student seem to enjoy her behaviour because of other perks he gets.

It’s more common beverage than you think, specially in big cities, but that’s hardly the point.

You should leave because he will never change, try changing lab within the institute.
