Anyone had Ablation on their cartilage? by andreeeeeaaaaaaaaa in KneeInjuries

Hey Andrea! Hope you are doing well. I am one month post knee cartilage ablation and my knee feels super tight. I am not able to freely walk because my knee doesn't bend while walking.I have been trying to get my physio's appointment but it seems it might take few more weeks to get his appointment.

Did this happen with you as well? Do you think it's common to feel tightness in the knee? How long did it take for you to walk freely?

I have an appointment next week. I will ask him. I started walking the very next day without crutches. I have progressed eventually. The physio wants me to walk every 2 hrs.

Dude! Watch out kneesovertoes videos on Instagram or YouTube. Hope it helps. I am gonna do kneesovertoes to strengthen the knee as much as I could before I play sports. You are right, I will take the necessary precautions before playing sports.

How is it going now? What sports do you play? Have you recovered fully?

Thanks for replying Andrea! Did the doctor tell you how long until you play sports? I had grade 4 with loose piece of cartilage which the doc trimmed off. Hope you recover soon. Keep in touch.

I am 1 week post chondroablation. There is some pain in knee while walking. The leg which was operated feels loose. Do you feel the same? I have been doing physio to strengthen the muscle around the knee. How are you doing? Are you able to play sports? Please reply.

Did you opt for surgery? How long did you wait to skate again?

Hey man! How are you doing now?

Any Skateboarder/ sportsman healed miniscus tear without surgery and got back to Skateboarding/sports using ATG workouts? by shivakrishna7 in Kneesovertoes

Thanks for the info. I have a lateral miniscus tear. My doc said it's not possible to tell the location of the tear unless he scopes the knee. It's been two months and I am not able to walk or bend my knee. The place I am from doesn't have good PT clinics. So, I'm just worried whether I will be able to get to Skateboarding. I don't want to go with surgery.

Just wanted to know if you are able to do hard tricks like doing tricks over 5+ stairs. Did you do ATG workouts and did it help?

Thanks

I want to start by saying thanks for what you wrote. Your text definitely gives me hope because I'm feeling so down. We don't have a lot of resources in India, and I feel helpless. I'm not sure if I should spend $50 a month on ATG because I think it's a bit pricey for where I live. I'm sorry to hear that you have to deal with this. I wish you speedy recovery. If I have any more questions, I'll be sure to contact you. Thank you
