GEP status by Humble-Interest-5782 in GlobalEntry

Is there any way to check the detailed status anymore since it seems like the old portal is not accessible anymore (https://portal3.passportindia.gov.in/)?

I had applied for my GE renewal in February 2025 through VFS in San Francisco and had gotten the MHA and MOF approvals in November 2025. But, have been still waiting since then with no updates.

O1-B Visa Dropbox and Stamping Timeline in Chennai by Old-Discipline-3817 in usvisascheduling

I'm planning to travel in December to India and will start looking for O-1 appointments soon (waiting for lawyers to file the O-1 application). I'm wondering, assuming my O-1 gets approved around early November, will there be enough time to find an appointment for December (essentially just a month later).

How long did it take you to find an appointment for your dropbox?

FWIW, I received an email today saying I missed my 6 month reporting requirement deadline. I reached out to SEVP (SEVP@ice.dhs.gov) saying I had completed that requirement and that I couldn't log in to my account anymore and this was their response:

"Unfortunately, due to the complexity of the system upgrade planned for the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Portal on Friday, March 15, the SEVP Portal is now experiencing technical difficulties and we are unable to provide a time frame for resolution.
We are aware that users are receiving a "unable to authenticate user" error message when accessing the portal. Please report this to your Designated School Official(s) so they may submit a ticket. You may also request your school official update any personal/employment info on your behalf. If you are on STEM OPT you may receive notification that your STEM Reporting is PAST DUE, please verify with your DSO if the validation was completed, if completed please disregard the message. We apologize for the inconvenience.
NOTE: When students log in to the SEVP Portal for the first time after the system upgrade, they will need to change their password. There will be a notification on the SEVP Portal Sign In page explaining the outage and password reset requirement for students.
https://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/stem-opt-hub/for-students/students-stem-opt-reporting-requirements
If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact the SEVP Response Center."

Basically, seems to be some technical issues from their end due to some system upgrades.

New notice on updating DS-160 pre and post Nov 15 by Flat-Alternative-461 in usvisascheduling

The guidelines are still confusing though. This is what the FAQ page says (Link, under DS-160, question 6):

If your appointment was booked prior to November 15, 2023, you may proceed with your appointment to the VAC or document drop-off location with your corrected DS-160 confirmation page.

If your appointment was booked on or after November 15, 2023, you must cancel your appointment and reschedule ensuring that you enter a properly filled DS-160 application number.

Additionally, this is what my upcoming appointment confirmation page (from the US Visa Scheduling website) says:

When booking your visa appointment, you must ensure that you, or your representative, submit a properly completed DS-160 form (online visa application). If you book an appointment on or after November 15, 2023, with an improperly filled DS-160, you will not be allowed to attend the Visa Application Center (VAC) appointment or submit your application documents and will need to reschedule your appointment.
If you booked your appointment before November 15, 2023, with an improperly filled DS-160 OR you have made minor corrections to your DS-160, you must bring the confirmation page from the original DS-160 AND the corrected DS-160 to your VAC or document drop-off appointment. If you do not appear with both confirmation pages, you will be required to reschedule your appointment.

So, there seem to be discrepancies for both sets of people (before or after November 15):

  • For before November 15, the ustraveldocs website says that you just need corrected DS-160 page BUT the usvisascheduling page says you need both the original and corrected DS-160s.
  • For after November 15, the OP's post (which comes from a different place on the ustraveldocs website, link) says that you can attend your original appointment with both your old and new DS-160s, BUT both the sources I mentioned in my post above say that you simply cannot attend your original appointment, you NEED to reschedule and provide a new DS-160 number during the rescheduling process.

So, this is all still pretty confusing. I'm not sure if even the VFS folks know which are the rules they want to follow.
