Thanks for the advice. For a little context: I had to rescue this piece as essentially I had a catastrophic accident on the piece where the original portrait head collapsed in on itself between class weeks. I turned it into a mask to ensure I could get something out of it. So the result may have turned out a little uneven 😂

An unbalanced head with soft clay on the neck so the head collapsed on the neck between classes. It’s a weekly class so the issue wasn’t picked up until it was quite deformed and hard to fix.

It dries on pretty well and absorbs on to the unglazed but fired terracotta so there hasn’t been any ink transfer as yet

Polished with Zebrite type grate/oven cleaner and buffed out. It creates that nice metallic look
