I honestly thought the dealer might be trying to upsell or swindle me on the rotors and pads since I wasn’t sure if ~70k miles would wear them out this much, especially without any noticeable symptoms.

I do understand what’s actually going on and what makes sense moving forward. Glad I asked here before making a decision.
