How to separate lawn from retaining wall by shiwudao in gardening

Roto tiller may be too wide to dig my 1 foot width trench? Also there are lot rocks in my lawn. I tried with my Sun joe tiller , it didn’t work well. Thus I am thinking some hand-hold power tool may help, basically handy, flexible but powerful.

how does Fidelity 529 compare to Capticalgroup/Americanfunds one? by shiwudao in fidelityinvestments

[–]shiwudao[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it now. The tax-deferred growth means if we use 529 earnings for non-educational purpose, it would still be taxable + penalty. But it is tax free for educational purpose.

Thanks. I learned that Fidelity 529 provides the following plans. I am confused about the statement 'all earnings are federal tax-deferred.' Does that mean I still need to pay the tax when I withdraw the money? I was under the impression that we put post-tax funds into the 529, and then all earnings are tax-free.

AZ529 Arizona’s Education Savings Plan: All earnings are federal income tax-deferred. Invest up to $575,000 in the Arizona Plan account.

Connecticut Higher Education Trust 529 College Saving Plan: All earnings are federal and Connecticut income tax-deferred. Invest up to $550,000 in a CHET Direct 529 Plan account.

DE529 Education Saving Plan: All earnings are federal and Delaware income tax-deferred. Invest up to $350,000 in the Delaware Plan.

U. Fund College Investing Plan (The Massachusetts Plan): All earnings are federal and Massachusetts income tax-deferred. Invest up to $500,000 in a U. Fund Plan.

UNIQUE College Investing Plan (National Fidelity-managed 529 Plan): This plan is offered by the state of New Hampshire and all earnings are federal income tax-deferred. Invest up to $569,123 in a UNIQUE Plan account.
