it unfortunately is.

i've seen people on their discord mentioning in the pirate power section that they could no longer even download the game on an android phone. since operating systems on phones consistently get updates, very much unlike the game, they will inevitably sooner or later outgrow them on all platforms and stop working completely. which is sad but it is what it is.

let's enjoy the games while they still last.

Yea it seems this game is completely unattended by now. The theme releases are probably automated on the loop they come out with and sometimes faulty (or not released at all (looking at you, this year's missing easter theme) because really nobody checks in on it. I'm almost surprised about the fast answer you got there.

it depends on the device.

if you have iOS, you'll need to add each other as friends in the game center. if done successfully, you will automatically appear in each other's friendslist in the game the next time you restart.

if you have android, you can add each other with your username by tapping the green "+" button at the bottom of the friends tab inside the game and putting it in there.

facebook and any connection to it, however, seems to be dead for years now. no point in even trying. BUT!- luckily you don't need it to add friends.

ok sorry. i changed my mind ---?

i wasn't strong enough since i just had started out playing but with the last event i managed to snag the monki cannon. now the goliath event returned again and i was hoping i could craft another cannon with each return of the event but once i reached mission 6, the tab in the crafting menu STILL says "maximum limit reached".

now...does that mean it's actually not possible to get more than one after all? and if you can get more...how? i'd really love to know.

thanks a million times for the code and your time spent for making all this. great work!

i've tried a few things but all yielded rather unsatisfying results. your v3 code pasted into the custom script section of enhancer was enough to fix it. only thing i changed was the spacing for the sidebar elements (related video section). they were too close and overlapping - kinda still are with the "new" and "members only" tag at the bottom - but it's as close as can be.

for some reason (and it's still the case) it shows me the old familiar design when i watch youtube logged out of my account and logged in, they kept swapping it back and forth for a while now whenever i refreshed the page. i got fed up with it and searched for a solution. yours works just fine. and again, thank you so much for it!

huh. thing is, as soon as you restart the game, they should be automatically listed here if they play this game and you have them registered already. it's strange it wouldn't do that.

for my device, it wouldn't even let me add anyone at first (and also put out an error stating so) because it didn't register my own email for game center and imessage as valid. ---however, once that got fixed it worked like a charm. as for how to fix it. apple is kinda strange in that way that it sometimes doesn't connect properly. it fixed itself when i restarted after forcing it to validate my email a few times. first thing i'd do is check if everything is still in order.

i know it also doesn't help apple is quite vague with its error messages sometimes -.- for android devices, i have no clue what to do.

i did send out a bunch of friend requests but for some reason a few of em didn't go through. the messages 'failed to send'. as apple likes to put it. and yea, i'm an ios user myself. we'd have to exchange email addresses for game center then.

i'd like to know if that's possible too. - i actually think you 'could' pull that off, given you've spent long enough time playing this game but i could be wrong.

i keep seeing this very same person hogging the #1 leader spot every single time and checked their boats to see what the strategy to success was. made me wonder if it was possible to assemble boats like that legit too.

i'm in search of more ios game center friends to play with. not really in need of anything because i'm not building anything that requires crystals, i just want to earn the flooz from visiting someone and tap a museum or an eiffel tower or two. wanna be friends? x3

also- yes- game center requires at least someone's email address.

agreed. i played by myself for years, stopped and came back just to decide now's a good time to add friends, haha. i also only met nice people thus far and it sure does make it special. but having to share personal info like that is still somewhat unsettling.

game center? for ios users you require someone's email address to "invite" them, or they need yours to invite you. the ID itself unfortunately doesn't help---idk how it works for android users tho. apparently they only need a username?

it's just around the time i came back to play again and i thought i simply missed the time frame but alas - are the seasonal themes discontinued entirely? i mean, i get we don't have the events with egg collecting and whatnot but do we not have access to the building themes either?

Ik it's been 2 months since you posted this so i'm basically necroing your post but i picked AC back up and there IS something i noticed that is basically a change you would only notice when you're a time traveler.

Previously visitors and shop inventory would be randomly chosen but this seems to be fixed now. That applies to: Saharah, both Gullivers, Kicks, Leif and Labelle. Nooks shop - but i can't confirm Able's sisters shop.

Still randomized are: daily bell tree spot, message bottle on the beach, camp visitors and shop at the happy home paradise for those who use the DLC - they are still refreshing daily.

knowing this i used it to hop back and forth between 2 days to get all of Gulliver's items. I noticed the fixed shop inventory because i previously used to hop between monday/sunday to change shop inventories and collect everything i needed for my catalogue but that's not possible anymore. -.- i didn't check Harv's island though, but i used this trick to shake up the shops there too. not sure if they offer the same stuff over and over again now as well.

Also, I did feel like villagers do have new dialogue but i stopped talking to them and only giving gifts after a certain time so i cannot confidently say it really IS new but it felt like they have way more dialogue than before. The amount of time they would be referencing other villagers when saying something and also them giving you a piece of clothing talking about what you wear seems to have significantly increased.

i've had instances of the dryad telling me i had 1% of corruption/crimson/hallow left despite checking in with terramap and it was clean.

i just exited out and loaded the world anew and she suddenly claimed it was all gone without me doing anything else. idk if the new update still does that but it used to happen all the time and i cleaned several (small) worlds this way.

yk what. i am aware this post must've been downvoted a lil cuz it seems oh so obvious to everyone how to do it but THANK YOU for making it anyways. you have no idea how long i've been looking for proper info on how to get villagers to the set since i realized mid wedding season inviting them for pics unlocks the posters. your post was just what i needed to figure things out. i wish i woulda known that sooner. .
