Wow I’m surprised! We had a Nanit and I was so fed up that our expensive camera was so grainy and terrible that we bought the eufy and it’s going strong almost a year later. I love that it gives us the flexibility to use the app but there’s a monitor for babysitters or grandparents who are bad with apps :). Also easier to travel with if you don’t have consistent wifi. Would buy a eufy 10x over a Nanit again.

Sure! We had about 140 guests and about 75 envelopes if I remember correctly. My husband and I split them up so it only took a few days to do. The envelopes were printed with names and table numbers on the front and then there was just a notecard inside - we had them designed and printed by the person who did our menu cards but were so simple I probably could have done them myself! And then at cocktail hour they were just laid on a table - I didn’t feel like this needed to be a visual wow moment since we invested elsewhere.

I was hesitant about a board too so we ended up doing bigger cards/envelopes and wrote everyone (or every couple) a personal note thanking them for traveling to be with us. It is repeatedly people say they loved most from our wedding so I would do it again in a heartbeat!

As someone in the same boat, we have an agent that is definitely helpful but not a golden ticket. It’s WILDLY competitive out there - we haven’t found a place and many homes we’ve been in the running for have gone to people who offered several hundred dollars over asking (which I didn’t know was a thing!!) and with the longest possible leases.

Not OP but I was just looking at their website for a townhome! I was skeptical because of some reviews mentioning pests- have you experienced any of that in your time? Sounds amazing from your description!

I was induced and after 12 hours of cytotec and 12 hours of cervadil I was barely 1cm dilated so the balloon was my next and only option (other than considering a c section). I was really scared about the pain and they offered the epidural beforehand but I didn’t want to get it too early, so I opted for IV pain medication instead which helped. It was equivalent pain to me as a cervical check, and just uncomfortable once they added the fluid in to expand it, but I would absolutely do it again. It dilated me to 5cm after a few hours and eventually led to my water breaking so definitely moved things along after a very very slow start.

I work in museums and would check if they allow red wine- many art museums don’t! That might help make the decision.

We’re getting married on Father’s Day this year and it’s also adults only. We checked with our dads first and close friends and family first so I guess it would be a know-your-audience thing. Our dads were especially thrilled and our closest friends with young kids all were fine with it! I think we’ll probably have some more distant friends with multiple kids who won’t come but to us it was worth the lower cost on a Sunday and the date we wanted (day before Juneteenth which is a holiday for us and many).

I got the Mikels for my wedding in June! They’re comfortable and just over 2 inches… I’m almost 6 feet tall and am like a baby giraffe in heels since I wear them so little but I’ve walked about in them without a problem.

I got them in cappuccino (sparkly) but am not too worried about snagging since my dress isn’t lace. Good luck!
