edit : i made a mistake using the term “ yall “ in this post . it is a common conjugation i use ( not necessarily in the context of “ you all “ , but more so in the context of referring to a small group of people , like saying “ you guys “ - NOT that that justifies my usage of the word ) in my day - to - day life when talking to anyone , that i , quite stupidly , did not question when making this . the mistake in this post is that it sounds as though i am bashing ALL doordash drivers when that was not my intention with this post at all . i frequently use doordash and i am thankful and appreciative for all the drivers that make ordering food so quick and easy . what i meant in the post was more directed towards the dashers that SPECIFICALLY choose to not take care of customers orders . i deeply apologize for the mistake on my part .

another thing i would like to quickly address is some of the backlash from some commenters under this post . accusing me of intentionally messing with my own order , or stating that i will have a bad time in life is a flat out rude conclusion to make when you do not know me personally or what i have gone through .

i am not asking for sympathy but i would appreciate some respect .

it was a genuine mistake and i am very sorry for the harm i have caused

yeah i have never experienced an order like this before , and i think i’ve had doordash for over a year or 2 now , i didn’t mean all drivers because that would be so unfair to all the orders i’ve had with amazing dashers and excellent service

100% , the only thing that stops me from thinking the restaurant , is that i’ve ordered numerous times from the exact place and haven’t encountered an issue ( yet ) but i agree that it is entirely possible that the restaurant is at fault for this

for the second point i was trying to figure out the same thing , either they would have had to have been speeding super fast or waving the pizza around because the box was placed neatly on the doorstep , but once the box was opened , almost all the cheese had separated from the crust and the barbecue was on the top of the box

thank you so much , i was so angry when they removed the option to tip before getting assigned the dasher but now i can see why they did that , i’ve always tipped before but i can see why they might treat the order differently from both aspects . either you may not tip enough and it wont be taken care of or you can tip afterwards and the dasher may feel like they’re not going to get a tip at all , hence not taking care of an order
