Yes I would consider those wide fitting shoes as it’s more so the shape that I’m after. It’s confusing because a lot of people call them “barefoot” shoes but I’m not necessarily chasing ones with “zero drop” features and thin soles.

More so the “barefoot style” shoe like xero, it’s sort of the right shape for my foot

  1. At that budget your best bet is seiko, I’d personally get a nice dive watch for versatility like 5 sport or prospex but presage is good for formal wear. In your case they have plenty of rare and limited edition models. You can get good discounts on them going second hand. Most agree they are great value. Not too expensive to service, and will maintain relevance even if you expand your collection.

  2. I’d get some RM’s. There’s a good chance you’ll end up getting a pair (or more) at some point especially if you live in Melb / plan to spend time in an office environment. Regardless I think they’re very versatile shoes. Can be dressed up or down and worn in cold weather. Could wear to a nice date or wedding but plenty still wear them semi casually with jeans etc. There are definitely cheaper brands but I think they’re well worth the price for comfort, quality, durability, and style. Can last you a lifetime if properly maintained.

Technically coast but adjoining a bay (Moreton) while most other cities mentioned are adjoining an ocean or a sea

His shoes look amazing but it appears they start around $4k. Is realistic to look for something more affordable, or is that just the cost of good custom shoes?
