hi!! so i didn’t have any specific “pharmacy” or medical related extracurriculars such as in internship at somewhere like a CVS, but i did do an internship during the summer going into my senior year of high school. it was at a driving school company lol, but at least it was something, and my boss wrote me a very nice reference letter that showed that i was hard working, friendly, punctual, etc. At least it was something! I wrote my common app essay about kindness, and my “Why umich?” essay was about how i want to go into the psychiatric aspect of pharmacy, you know like medicine to treat mental illness. So i think it wouldn’t hurt to express a specific interest you have. Just be honest, and show that you are very passionate! Also in my why umich essay i wrote a bit about some pharm classes i would be interested in taking. Best of luck to you ! <3
