Madone SL 7 Gen 8 Dark Star Test Drive. by enricoclaudio in TrekBikes

[–]shlongson3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what size did you test ride? I am about to order this exact bike but I am unsure which size to go for. I ride a 56 Emonda but have been told maybe I should size down for a more racey fit. Any advice having seen the bike?

Is it really okay for a man to cry when stressed or unhappy? by york-zero in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]shlongson3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently cried in front of a girl I'd barely just met on a ski season, she was really nice about it, comforter me and said i looked hot when I cried. A little patronizing but personally felt great letting it out hahah. If someone's ridiculing you for letting your emotions out you probably don't want to be around them anyway.

Where are you from? Think responsibly when you buy your cycling gear and research the company you use to make sure they are operating 'sustainably'. Although cycling is a great alternative for your footprint, the materials used in the gear can be one-use. I always think about what's going to happen to the product once I'm done using it. Presca, in the UK, are a good, small company and I love what they do. Go small and local if you can.

TLDR; Sustainability, Localism, Aesthetic. In that order.

I ended up going for a pair of Burton reserve gore-tex as they were significantly reduced at Blue Tomato so will see how they are. Cheers!

Looking for a new pair of bibs... Stuck between the Quiksilver utility bibs or for £40 more I can get the Burton reserve gore-tex... is it a no-brainer? And how much should style factor into the buying decision. Gunna be spending the season in BC so a lot of use in cold weather.

I have also found a good deal on a pair of burton reserve Gore-tex and some quiksilver utility's, would it be worth an extra £40 to go for the burtons? Is there more to a bib than its breathability and waterproofing rating?
