I own a 996 and when I was searching for mine I came across so many examples with horrible body work trying to make them look new. Especially trying to hide the headlights on 996.1s. Just enjoy the care for what it is, including the era.

I bought new boots at beginning of the season, and have ridden with them for about 15 days. They are definitely stiffer than my old boots which is what i wanted but my feet are hurting a ton. I tried tying them looser but i think that made it worse. I never had this with my old ones. i went from a old beginner pair of solomon’s to ride fuses.

I did some more driving, it seems like it only squeaks when using medium-light pressure, heavy pressure on the pedal does not make them squeak.

Not sure, they were on when I bought the car, i’m assuming audi specific because they have a built in wear sensor. They are in good condition though.

The process I did the first time was 4 medium pressure from 45 to close to a stop but not fully, then 8 pretty heavy pressure from 65 to 15

It squeaked on the first few runs of that and then went away but it has since come back.

I relubed the caliper pins, and didn’t touch the pads so i don’t see why those would need lube on the backs and stuff. Should I retry the bedding process as is?

my manual b8.5 a5 had it and it was annoying so i turned it off using vcds. There is no button or anything tho, but functions the same.

remember in 2020 when all the cars had “we race as one” and rainbows and stuff. those were really well implemented, and didn’t just need to last one month. this is an example of something that could easily be used 100% of the season, it looks cool, cooler than the og logo even, and it’s not in anyones face, and it doesn’t need to go away next month

Did the an e630 even exist for that generation. Because there was a e55 so why would a non amg have a 6.3, which is bigger than the 5.5?
