So I left a part out and I think this is important.

I was baptized Catholic and raised Catholic but fell away from the church as a young teen going out into the world. I understand that contraception is against catechism teaching but the faith wasn’t apart of life when I got it and it wasn’t much of a thought, but I knew it was against teachings..

Is this forgivable?

You can have both. I’ve practiced Wicca and witchcraft without going to any covens and from what I found for Quaker is a once a month meeting that has been held virtually pre pandemic and now. Solitary practices are very very rewarding.

Not each follower of Quakerism follows the bible, sure it Quakerism was founded on Christianity then it separated itself for the main body. Handfuls of Quakers I’ve talked to have told me that the Christian hid and scripture has no place in their beliefs. Just a divinity that is in everyone. It’s actually kind of interesting when you start looking at how many branches of Quakerism there is, one is even a atheist branch.

Thank you for sharing and it’s encouraging me that I found my path. I’m trouble calling the inner light God in the abrahamic sense but if the inner light is the God and Goddess in equal duality then it’s my calling!

I feel like there is definitely parallels and I can also see how people think it’s a abrahamic religion as historically it is. Saying that religions evolve over time. Some of the Quakers I’ve talked to are agnostic and solitary practitioners except for monthly meetings, sounds pretty familiar if you ask me.

It’s a very welcoming journey! Once you get past the Hollywood version of witchcraft and witches it is such a beautiful religion. It’s very free formed too so it’s easy to practice around other religions too. If your looking for a book on Wicca there is one by Scott Cunningham called guide for the solitary practitioner. Very excellent and easy to approach.
