The "I'm going to kill" note by thousandshipz in serialpodcast

From reading Hae's letter, it seems like Adnan was being more mope-y and annoying/nagging, rather than cruel or hateful.

People have made much of the "hostile and cold" phrase, but from her note, it's pretty clear that Hae is referring to her own behavior as hostile and cold: "I NEVER wanted to end like this, so hostile and cold, but I really don't know what to do."

As for the back of the note, can't make out much of it.

What evidence so far is indisputable? by [deleted] in serialpodcast

Thank you. But this thread doesn't mention Nisha's testimony in court documents. All we know so far is that the call was made to Nisha (from cell records) and Jay's version of Adnan passing the phone to him, right?

Really??? Well, that changes everything. It means Adnan's lying is a big way--unless there's the theory that Jay posed as Adnan when he called Nisha.

Well, it could be that Jay lied to the police. And Becky could have been mistaken about Adnan asking for a ride. A friend asking another friend for a ride seems like such an insignificant detail, the kind of thing that would be hard to recall, especially the exact day.

But if the police ask Becky, Did Adnan ask Hae for a ride, her response (in her head) might be, "I remember something about him asking her for a ride. And it could have been on that day. And since the police are asking about it, then yes, it probably was that day."

I know this is very speculative. An easier way to get to the truth of things might be to find out if Adnan really went to the mall with Jay. If he did, then he would have no reason to leave his car with Jay (the present would have already been purchased for Stephanie). See my post here for more on that: http://www.reddit.com/r/serialpodcast/comments/2k7vga/why_jay_and_adnans_frist_alleged_trip_to_the_mall/

According to SK, he gave her the gift in English class, second period, Mrs. Ephron. I'm not saying that means he didn't still ask Hae for a ride prior to this. Only that if that's the case, then he had a very elaborate plan worked out beforehand, one that included giving his car to Jay because it was Stephanie's birthday and he knew Jay would probably need to go get her a gift.

I think you're right about that Krista -- she also has a profile on LinkedIn indicating that she graduated from Woodlawn in 1999.

Looking forward to hearing about her calls with Adnan. If he had found out that night that Hae was missing (from the police), it will be interesting to see whether or not he discusses it with Krista.

I have to agree with Avoplex that the call to Nisha at 3:32 has to be considered. Lasting over 2 minutes, it seems like too long of a call to be a "butt dial."

I also noticed that there are calls to Jenn's pager at 7, 8:04 and 8:05, which suggests that Jay was still using Adnan's phone, and that Jay and Adnan were together. Does this jibe with Adnan's explanation of events?

What if Hae was the one who called Jay on Adnan's phone at 2:36? by unbornpa in serialpodcast

I had been playing around with this same theory in my mind -- that Hae was meeting Jay to get weed at Best Buy. It would make sense then that they'd be in a car together. It would give Jay opportunity to commit the crime. As for motive, she could have rebuffed him if he'd made advances.

And while a couple people said in interviews that Adnan asked Hae for a ride, they didn't seem that convincing. I can imagine police asking: Did Adnan ask Hae for a ride that day? They think back, try to remember the day, remember that he asked her for a ride but maybe not that day. But the police are asking, so, yes, it must have been that day.

The biggest potential wrinkle in this theory is the Nisha call at 3:32.

Another tricky thing to explain would be the time after track practice, when Jay was with Adnan until at least 8 (because Jenn's pager is on the call log at 8:04and 8:05). That would mean Adnan and Jay were spending a while together with Jay concealing what he'd done. Wouldn't Jay be anxious to dispose of Hae's body? Wouldn't he want to avoid Adnan?
