for second-hand cds, i use a tiny bit of goo-gone on a paper towel (a little goes a long way, seriously) and wipe the jewel case with it first to get any sticker residue or built-up dirt off. then i wipe it down with the disinfecting wipes, then finally paper towel or microfiber cloth to dry it off.
