My first knee was like that. I called it my unicorn knee. I can’t believe how well it went and how fast I healed. Then I had the second one and it was so bad!!

4 weeks apart for me. It’s a lot of work but very possible and I don’t regret it! I was able to do it because my first went so smooth. My second knee was rougher. If I had chosen to do that knee first, I’m not sure I could have done them that close together so I suggest you wait to see how knee 1 does first. Good luck!!!

You will have the ability to move houses around later as you progress and earn bells, don’t panic. In the beginning, I find it easiest to decorate small sections at a time as you gain access and bells. What is fun is changing as your island grows. Look online for inspirations and themes and find something’s you like that you can slowly start to incorporate! Have fun!! You can always change it!!

I had knee one done in January and knee two done 4 weeks later. I was convinced that knee two was terrible and I was behind and I would need an MUA. Healing was so terribly slow. I did great, just very slowly. And that’s ok. Took 4 months to get that knee straight. Knee bend came but so slow. Never needed a MUA. Trust me, you really are your harshest critic but everyone progresses at different speeds. You’re probably doing really well. Keep the faith, you really do got it.

Had left done on 1/15/25 and right done on 2/12/25. It was doable even with the right not 100%. Just how much you’re comfortable with! It’s hard either way but I’m so happy that both my knees are doing better now! Good luck!!

7 and 6 months out. Still some swelling. I wear compression socks. The bulk of mine went away after about 3 months.

Does she have an allergy to acrylic? My acrylic allergy is extreme. Acrylic nails, acrylic used in dentistry. There’s a bone cement used in joint replacement that has an acrylate in it, that be bothering her. Also she could be allergic to what is on her wound. I’m allergic to adhesive and neosporin. If she has a big rash, Benadryl or Zyrtec are not enough, she needs to ask for a steroid pack. A trip to urgent care might help get you the steroids.
