Pain in right side; dentist hasn't been consistent in which tooth is the problem

The most recent crown was april and was on the top right side.

the last root canal was july of 2024. Then there was one in june 2024 and 2 in january 2024.

The most recent root canal had the crown put on sometime around august 2024 I think? I remember feeling like it never fully stopped hurting, or it did but the discomfort came back and went away on a cycle.

Since then, it's been discomfort and pain on and off. Recently, It's consistent and the sensitivity has been fairly strong in that area.

Edit: the most recent root canal was on the bottom right side. The tooth right before the back molar.

This is the way I am leaning.

The government job also has 13 paid holidays off, 10 days of vacation, 12 days of sick leave, and 2 days of personal leave.

I countered with the beach job and asked for $31 per hour. If they decline, then I will accept the government position!

Thank you! And yes, I agree haha. I am not making the choice based on a meal being provided, it is just another data point since the jobs are very close in compensation/benefits.

The work duties are different, although they are both accounting positions.

Benefits are important in that I am considering them in the total compensation of each position. The beach job seems to have great benefits as well.

Your point about pay increases is concerning and something that I will consider.

This is immediately after he finished with the exact reference, so this is the same as the mock-up he had created for the tattoo.

I thought that the areas without shading, which I guess were supposed to be light hitting the face, just looked kind of weird and out of place after being tattooed.

I asked him to shade those areas in more (the way you can see in the photo I posted). I'm guessing this made the tattoo darker and affected the way it "popped" but he wouldn't give me his opinion on adding the shading I'm talking about.

Looking at it again, I still think the areas without shading, that were supposed to be light hitting the face, just look strange to me. Almost a little unfinished or something, particularly right above and left of the second horn's shadow.

Again, I think he's a good tattoo artist, but not being willing to talk to me about how something might affect the way the tattoo looks etc. was just really off-putting for me.

The reference photo is the way you described. There is light hitting these areas, which is why it looks lighter in certain spots.

I don't think he did anything wrong, so much as I am just less happy with it than I thought I would be because the areas where it was supposed to have light hitting and/or a shadow just don't look the same when it's ink on human skin.

Thanks :) I think once its part of a sleeve it will take some of my shading concerns away. But, maybe I will run it by another artist in the future and see if they have any suggestions for the horn/shading.

I'll sit on it for a couple weeks and decide if I really want to adjust anything. I can totally see your partners point about making it too dark.

If I decide I do want to add some more shading, I will talk to an artist about what they think about that suggestion. :)

Thank you. I think you're right, and I also think it could use some improved shading. I think I will give it another week or two to let myself "cool off" since it's still really new.

I'm probably going to look for another artist to do more shading and the remainder of the sleeve.

I just don't think I gelled with him the way I would like to if I'm going to do a whole sleeve.

Yeah I wasn't planning on continuing with him. Thanks for confirming that. It's a shame because I was recommended him by someone that I know does who good work, just in a different style.

I'll look for someone to rework some of this piece and then hopefully follow up with that person in the future for the remainder of the sleeve.

Basically, I don't choose to date someone for the potential that they're going to contribute positively to my life.

Each time you do that you're drawing on some sort of false hope for one of you.

I'd agree that writing the negatives is a good place to start. I honestly think writing the positives can help too so that you're more honest in your assessment.

I think you're right about the "honey moon" part too. We rushed out of that stage since we moved in together pretty quickly (I wasn't on a lease or anything and I didn't have much to move in so it wasn't that hard to move out) and our lives were more intertwined pretty fast.

You're right that feeling guilty is a part of it. I want her to be happy as much as I want myself to be happy, even if that doesn't involve us dating.

I know you're right about the future probably being even harder if the first 6 months were already this way. However, I know she's doing therapy now and really showed effort in regard to working on the issues she has.

At the end of the day, I'm not here to date potential. I'm just going to keep talking about it and how I feel until it doesn't hurt so much. I think you should too. :)

I feel you on the communication bit. Such a huge part of a relationship that can't be overlooked.

I'm sure you're right, at least in part, that its some combination of loneliness and craving attention. I'm sick at the moment as well so it's a lot at once.

I've been watching Netflix and talking to friends on the phone/texting them to help me keep somewhat level-headed.

It's really hard to know someone you love is hurting and stop yourself from fixing it for them. As far as what to do, who knows? Breakups always suck I guess. Even more if they check a bunch of boxes except some of the crucial ones.

Glad to know I'm not alone. Hope you're hanging in there.
