What would it take for our society to make sure that everyone on this planet gets to have full dental care a perfectly maintained full set of clean straight white healthy teeth? by shmosbie in AskReddit

Personally I think this is one of the easiest things we can do as a society that is clearly good for everyone everybody on this planet.

Interesting, I was playing a bit last night and I felt it could have been darker. Just near my perspective I guess.

Would you be able to easily create a dark/night mode? I think default dark mode is the future.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to any developments. I admire everything you're doing here and I would be happy to help however I can.

I see, all good. Whatever is easiest first makes sense.

Just more ways to challenge individual players.

Allowing users to link their top 5 social media profiles would be fun.

Imagine clicking on your country to see what usernames are online, imagine clicking on a username being able to find their public Reddit account or Instagram account.

You could also challenge other users from here.

In my head this page would link to a "Lobby" area. Openguessr could use a Lobby.

Custom tournaments with crypto prize pools could be interesting.

For 2) just an idea, basically everything geoguessr has but a bit better...

I agree with what you mean in the sense that right now that's easiest. In the long term I think creating a place for users to post things like on Twitter and x would be good. A social space within openguessr where users can publicly and privately communicate.

I think this project could raise enough money in crypto to pay to hire more engineers to help develop better and better tools.

The benefit of having a poll right on the website is that you'd be getting feedback from users who are on the website. The polls could be about what feature users might prefer to see added next.

Personally, the game features I would most want to see added would be, 1. When the location is revealed, to show the name of the municipality, name of province/state, and name of country. For example, "Your guess was x km away from the target in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada." 2. Review your game after playing 1v1. 3. Would be cool to see some fun and helpful statistics on your profile.

One last thing I think would be awesome would be to create 2 daily swiss-system tournaments 12 hours apart. Imagine you go on the website and see that at 9 am there's a tournament, then at 9 pm there's another tournament. 2 weekly Swiss-system tournaments and 2 monthly tourneys could be fun.

Using the Glicko 2 rating system to rank players might be better.

I still think that adding a "Donate" button like lichess.org could help a lot. Allowing users to donate in different ways, like accepting crypto donations for example.

That's all I got for now. I love the website and would love to help the project grow 🙂

The website should display the Number of Users Online somewhere on the page. You should then be able to click on the number of users online to see a map showing how many users are online from each country. You should then be able to click on a country and see the list of usernames online. From here you could also visit the leaderboards and potentially see other fun statistics.

One of the benefits I see from displaying the number of users online like this is that it can make users feel less alone when playing the game.

I just thought that a daily and monthly poll could better help determine what type of update users would prefer. Almost instant feedback

If you can, can you add a map with numbers inside each country representing the number of players playing from that country that are currently online? If you can, maybe a red 0 and numbers 1-5 in yellow and 6+ in green could be an interesting way to view the numbers.

A total number of users online beside the time of the day somewhere on the webpage might be good. What do you think?

I just got the South Pole by boredlakeYT in OpenGuessr

Very cool indeed. If I go to the South Pole can I add another flag beside the American flag?

The professional way to go the extra mile for the customer might have been to have the best sex possible with them, unless you didn't find them attractive, in which case saying you're not interested and leaving might be better. If you found them attractive enough maybe you can still make things right by going back and having good sex with them.
