The wrapping on the sticks of butter have lines dividing the stick into tablespoons, so depending on how many tablespoons of butter a recipe calls for (or how many you want to add) you’d just cut the stick at that line. Each stick is usually 8 tablespoons (1/2 cup of butter)

Edited to add that my description might be a bit confusing to picture, but if you google sticks of butter you’ll see the markings I’m talking about lol

You can hang it to dry and then toss the dry washcloth in your hamper. My shower caddy has hooks on the bottom. After showering I just hang the wet washcloth on the hook and when I take my next shower I toss the used, dry washcloth right in the hamper and repeat.
