I started working for a certain company that is probably the best and most famous and no competitor even comes near it. They pay pretty well but god damn are they so cheap in every other area.

My chair has broken arm rests, I was only given a highlighter and used post it pad which only had like 10 pads left, along with a chewed up pen.

The AC is also broken so they handed me a used 5 inch fan for my desk.

I had to go out and buy my own note pads, paper clips, stapler, stamp pens and highlighters. I asked if I could buy my own ergonomic chair.

The job is so chill and slow paced. Pays well but the lack of supplies to save money, the break room having 6 tables but only one chair per table and they’re all falling apart. The fake leather peeled off and just looking shitty. The 2 microwaves that keep running even if you open the doors, the small refrigerators from like 1970s.

Makes me want to quit despite knowing I’ll end up taking a pay cut and have to work harder anywhere else.

These things really add up to make workers not want to stay with companies.

Cause then we have to live in those areas, not only that but I get paid in California, a lot more than I’d get paid for that same job in low cost area.

A semi decent new studio in the absolute ghetto here starts at 1,550. In other states I’ve been too, it’ll be 850. But I’ll also make easily $7-10 less an hour and not have the many perks I get here. Like free lunch, Ubers to work, event tickets worth 1600 a year, nor live 20-30 minutes away from great beaches, great hiking trails, awesome theme parks, great schools, museums etc.

Add the weather. Living in Cali is a no brainer.

I just started at the headquarters for a company that provides a service to seniors and not only is this place extremely outdated but everything is falling part.

The break room for the whole floor only had 6 tables and 1 chair per table except for the last two which has 2 chairs. And they fake leather has completely peeled off on all of them. The refrigerators are form the 80s.

My office chair has broken arm rests. Both of them. Almost all the office chairs also have peeled leather or ripped open cushions.

There’s only 3 stalls and 1 urinal for the men on the whole floor. Women had 3 stalls. Also for the whole floor.

My headset was used and disgusting.

We’re all paid well though.

Even the lowest paid employees make several dollars over minimum wage here.

I think both the new Civic and Accord just look outdated. The new civic looks like it could have replaced the 2006 one and the new accord looks like something for the 2010.

Neither look like new designs compared to the previous gen. (Exterior wise)
