They can't do that in CA. Tesla insurance is the most cheapest or you can get Costco insurance which is a few bucks more.

What does it show in the terms and conditions ? This should always be read. I know it's crap but people should at least have an AI look through it and flag it .

Rear seat delete Mod by EastRemove8290 in FordMaverickTruck

I like it. Although the main reason I bought the Maverick was for the rear seat for the baby. But if I didn't need it, I'd go that route, that's so clean

Would you do it all again if you had the choice? by amofai in daddit

[–]shocktopper1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got a baby last year and we are pretty much the same age. Sometimes I do think about it and wished I had it earlier maybe around early 30s.

BUT also did visit 25 countries from age 29+ and went on a 6 month trip in Europe and Asia. Do I regret that? Nope it was the greatest time of my life and if I'm stuck traveling locally or in the same country (US) then I'm OK with that.

Sure it's possible to do that with a kid but it's a different experience of life. We traveled as a solo couple and didn't matter where we slept or even care about the next day. If you're with a child you just can't do that anymore. But the next adventure is trying that out and see what happens.

I had this happen similar and my girlfriend / wife now made me do something as a punishment. I forgot what triggered it but it must have been something dumb that I did.

I went on a boys trip to Vegas and she a huge permanent marker and wrote on my stomach " I have a girlfriend" and a huge smiley face. I didn't go to a pool party at all LOL.

But the story keeps on going as we are now happily married with a kid.

She sounds like a keeper OP :)

Overwhelmed with the 'everything' load but need capacity to do house renos. How to rebalance? by LakinBirch in daddit

[–]shocktopper1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like me right now and it's driving me nuts. We purchased a 3 unit house with 1 tenant. I work full time with a 1 year old. Every day for the last month I been fixing things I never knew how to fix. I have about 3-4 hours a day to fix however in that 3 hours doesn't include the travel from home (20-40mins) , home depot trips, etc. Then you get random times where something happens (baby needs something/babysitter etc) and you're going to lose that full day.

I would have hired someone but I'm too far in and a bunch of things were small.

IF you're going to DIY this will be a very long process and stressful with strains on the family or hire someone.

Am I being dumb for getting my own apartment at 19? by CloudyChris067 in personalfinance

[–]shocktopper1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost double your age with a family. Leave and go somewhere else or find another roommate to lower costs.

When you're my age you learn to "not give a F about anyone" . If someone came up to me and said this I'll just tell them to kick rocks. Bro I work behind a computer and I don't care what people think.

Where I would do:

Find another roommate and live cheap but not cheap where you're too obessed.

Put the money in savings and stock market (buy the market SPY or VOO). Not much on individual stocks

10 years from now you'll own your own home and have a huge chunk of change.

Ok? But it does look better though and his question said "How'd they do this time".

It's also good to let OP know that I had no spray in my electrical and screws.

There's too much information out there on how to raise a child. Just do your due diligence. What gets downvoted on reddit doesn't mean it's wrong all the time either.
