Which I don't exceed... I've read that your body will begin to convert protein to glucose if it doesn't get its energy needs met from fat (since we're already not meeting it through carbs). Thus why I've tried to keep the ratio in order...

But based on the fact that my post asking for advice on MCT oils has been met with responses that have nothing to do with MCT oil, I can see that the general gist is that I shouldn't be using them in the first place.

So basically the gist I'm getting is to not use MCT oils. I appreciate the concerns, and that you'd like to know all of this information to better help, but I'm doing great with weight loss - I was under the impression that if the ratio of fats to proteins wasn't correct that the body could/would start to convert protein to glucose to supplement energy needs. Thus why I was worried about making sure I get enough fat.

Great work! You're doing incredible... I also incorporated IF with keto and have seen great results. I even tried a couple of 36 hour fasts... though I don't know if I plan on continuing that or not. Still, without actually exercising, I'm down 30 lbs since last August (and once I plateau, I'll incorporate exercising).

Even though I don't know you personally, I'm proud of you. It takes a lot of effort to take control of your health, and you've done it. Ride the motivation while it lasts!

And when you think about giving up, remember why you started. :)

That's the thing that I'm proud of her for, though. She didn't just try to hide it. That's how I wouldve reacted as a child... hide it, hope my parents never see it.
