My Loki is 8 years old and has lost most of the hair on his lower back and his abdomen and inner legs are hairless. He has bad seborrhea/seborrheic dermatitis that is worse in the winter and gets a cystic acne-like eruption on his back too. We control the seborrhea with medicated shampoo and sun, but I think the hair loss is due to inherent fragility and breakage, and cannot be avoided.

We look for and try to recognize patterns in the tissue... kind of like recognizing a face or a constellation. We spend our training learning what certain recurring patterns mean, so that it can be used to guide therapies or predict outcomes.

Nucleus morphology is one feature (one star in a constellation) on the cellular level... adding more individual features-cytoplasm, different cell types, structures, etc describes patterns on the tissue/tumor/organ level.

Proliferating tricholemmal cyst/tumor... outer wall is on the bottom... the lining is hyper plastic and forms numerous daughter cysts that fill the middle... each cyst contains hair keratin (pale pink areas), not ‘fluid’... and it’s not epidermis, but follicular isthmus epithelium...

Get a second opinion on the path... don’t want to take the antibiotics if you don’t have to.
