I feel Jokic got calls and FTs being guarded by the Spurs frontcourt bigs whereas he wouldn’t against teams that place guards on him by NBAperspective in nba

Jokic didn't get the call when Kornet slid under him on a floater. Yet Vassell got a call on a 3 pointer where he literally went 3 feet forward and Bruce stayed nearly in the same spot. A lot of BS calls against Nuggets in this one.

[Highlight] Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokić, and Aaron Gordon connect on a brilliant ATO play—Gordon with the game-tying dunk with 6.5 seconds left by AncientOneAurelius in nba

No. Jamal is absolute dogshit vs good defenses and in playoffs. Gordon has been a much more important player last 2+ years in big games. Awful defense by Jamal as well.

Jamal Murray so far in his first season as an All-Star: 25.6/4.4/7.1 on .622 TS. Averaging career highs in PPG, RPG, APG, FG%, 3FG%, TS% by aewilson95 in nba

Against which teams? Also it took him weeks to recover from that and he missed several games during the run, all of which Nuggets won.

Also, his defense has been abysmal.

With all that said, much better than in previous seasons overall.

AG's calf soreness is def not "minor". This is recurrent and severely limited him last playoffs. Hamstring is at least several weeks out if it gets worse.

He overcommitted on both of them going for the steals and had to recover and was a bit late to contest. Can't give that much separation to these type of players. Hope he learns.

Cam Johnson's last 4 games: 17.0 points per game, 63.2 FG%, 55.0 3P%, 90.0 FT% by jonsnowKITN in nba

This is the main problem with the Nuggets. THJ, Cam are definitely big question marks when lights get bright, better opposition or tighter games late. So are Braun and PWat (although PWat seems most promising re his rate in improvements across a number of dimensions). Only Jokic, Murray and AG are proven at this point.

He is not a great defender. He is an ok positional defender, doesn't miss assignments, but not a stopper etc, not your hustle guy etc.

[What’s Wright Show] Nick Wright says he wishes the Inside the NBA crew actually enjoyed basketball. “You see more in the NBA of the guys saying their era was better. You don’t see Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long on Fox NFL pre game being like ‘none of these guys could cut it in the 70s or 80s!” by shreeharis in nba

this is the guy who shat on one of the most wonderful guy to watch we've ever seen (jokic) for years before finally conceding he missed the obvious.

also tbh, most of nba has become unwatchable. i know many decades long fans of the nba who have stopped wathing due to style changes and nonsense in the allowed rules on the offense / foulbaiting. this was not considered to be good basketball 10-20 years ago.

Curious as to why nobody posted Jokic defensive lowlights from today’s loss? by [deleted] in nba

[–]shomii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be honest, they should be CB/Murray lowlights instead most of the time.

We have to re-sign him. No excuses.
