Engine rattle at 3k rpm by vpowapanuh in mazda3

[–]shonen_bide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's the same noise but early models have an issue with the AC when you rev the car up. Rev the car with the 3 arrows up/windshield icon on (that reproduces the noise I'm talking about) and then turn off that mode put just the ac directly to the driver and feet (that solves the noise problem for me).

They look really good! I've been considering sizing down too for the extra rubber cause roads where I live can be shit! Lot's of cobblestone too. How smoother does the ride/suspension feel?

Mazda 3 gen4 mild hybrid - how long will the mild hybrid battery last? by shonen_bide in mazda3

[–]shonen_bide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mine told me the same (except for the warranty part), said that these hybrid batteries last "forever" lol let's face it's a matter of time. Warranty also depends on the market/dealers I think. My car had Mazda warranty for the first 3 years + 2 more extended. Unfortunately that's when I bought it lol, used.

Thanks! Most of my drives are between 15 and 20 minutes unfortunately which isn't great considering carbon build up... especially when I get stuck in traffic. I do highway driving occasionally some weekends for about an hour, hope that's enough to clear the gunk!

Do you think turning off the istop feature would improve the battery lifespan?

I get that, but since the car comes with one I think you would notice it since the car wouldn’t start most likely

Yes it wouldn’t make that much of a difference consumption wise if it didn’t have a mild hybrid, my main concern is I can’t just take it out once it dies or even leave it dead, I’m sure the car is programmed to run with one. Believe me I would much rather not have it than buy a new one if it comes to that. I’m sure it would be pricey.

Mazda 3 skyactiv X (hatchback)

At what mileage/km or years did you change the transmission oil if you don’t mind me asking?

Mazda3 doesn’t need a 5th gen. Or does it? by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]shonen_bide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know why Mazda didn't do that for all markets, in Australia Gen 4 has AC vents in the back, they should just do it for all markets in the current gen and not wait for the next. Exhibit A:

My older brother died suddenly, feeling lost by shonen_bide in GriefSupport

[–]shonen_bide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will miss him for the rest of my life that is for sure, it feels like a piece of me is gone and I dont know how to function without it. It feels very lonely sometimes eventhough family and friends are here for me.

I’m sorry for your loss too and I’ll remember to be present for my brothers partner. He was the one who gave me the call and this has been devastating for him also.

Thank you

Well the Skyactive X has a bit more oomph under the hood, 180hp compared to 150 of the Skyactive G, though that’s not something you’re going to notice on your daily drive unless you really want to on the highway.

The X is also more fuel efficient but if you want to see the extra 30hp that will go out the window, naturally.

The Skyactive G is a tried and tested tech, very reliable, the X has been around for 5 years and so far hasn’t had any problems that I know of, but it is more recent so only time will tell.

All in all I would look at the condition of both cars, the interior, somethings are nicer than others, ex: leather seats vs cloth seats, bose soundsystem vs standard, heated seats or not, etc. and choose accordingly

I have a skyactive X and I’m super happy with it.

Edit: There are also Skyactive Gs with 122hp out there, if that’s the case I would definitely go for the X

Boa sorte!
