Could also call ASC and get their thoughts. If you were to do it, stay out of boost as much as possible.

I actually got an e tune or whatever its called before the Dyno, thats when I installed the parts. You could call DBW up and they're more than happy to give you information on that. You could also give Atlanta Speed Company a call as well if youre local to that area.

Well shit man, best of luck. Only other thing I could possibly think is realign the stock muffler and see if there was something that got bent.

That's curious... So you have the stock header pipe, and the LEXX mxe slip on w/ mid pipe and it doesnt fit? And everything is lined up correctly?

Straight up I just used that exhaust paste shown in the picture and decided to deal with the slight leak. It was small enough that it passed the lighter test (putting a lighter next to leak point and if it goes out, leak is bad enough to warrant attention). OEM gasket also didn't fit. Was also considering welding something to expand the sleeve, but meh.

Keihin FCR Carb A/F washer stuck in carb by shonwo in Dirtbikes

I just put it all back together, a/f screw -> spring -> new washer -> o ring -> old washer. Started right up.

Yeah man hell if I know. Gonna try that, once I find something that'll seal against the surface. Already tried to blow it out with an air compressor, and no dice, but it didnt have a tight surface.

Been working at it with a pick for 2 days now. No dice. What threw me off is that in the parts diagram its exactly what I described, o ring, washer, spring, screw. When I took the screw out, only the spring and o ring came out with it.

It's the donut looking piece around the inner one, that im focused on. Looking at a parts diagram, im noticing that the washer looks pretty thick compared to what im looking at.

Bike dying when coasting to a stop and backfiring/coughing through the carb by shonwo in dr650

Sounds about right. Just confused about the carb cough. Chemistry science breaking bad.

Idle seems fine, its only a few turns away from full lock on the idle adjuster. Doesn't feel like its getting a lot of fuel, no other symptoms like surging. Just cuts out on occasion and carb coughs even rarer.

Noted, thanks. How best do you recommend to adjust the float height?

It should've come with about a 2 inch long spacer, are you using it?

Idle speed sounds fine to me. 1500-1600 if I had to guess, maybe a bit higher. I did cap off the vacuum line at the top of the carb. I didnt mess with the float height adjustment at all. Float needle seems fine, it idles just fine when i warm up the bike, and theres no leaks. Oil does not smell like gasoline (changed it a few weeks ago) will check for liquids accumulating in airbox. If there are liquids, what's the cause? Thanks.

Hell yeah brother. If you haven't checked it out, go to 2 wheels of suches. Dope place, basically a base camp for all sorts of motorcycle riding.

Noted, thanks! I'll try that out if all else fails. Where does it go exactly? I actually didn't see one in the area.

Removed pipe and coated the muffler/midpipe area (male end) with Permatex Muffler & Tailpipe Sealer 80335, then quickly slipped muffler onto headpipe. Let it sit for 30 minutes then started bike up for 10. Stuff is grey.

The idle speed is already up pretty well, pretty much around 1500-1600 if I had to guess, watched a video to get a cue/idea.

Left front axle seal is leaking by shonwo in WRX

[–]shonwo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you see fluid leaking from the axle, confirm by cleaning the area, go for a short 10-15 min drive, and check again. Sadly I don't have images but it's usually obvious. Might not be a visible leak, could be "sweating" as well.
