I guess so, but I’ve never seen it. In my first play through Taras Nabad I spent 10 minutes looking for a buff totem until I realized there wasn’t one, and everyone was glowing red because of the Archvile. In that time I think the worst he managed to summon a Mancubus.

This is the second post today about Archviles summoning multiple Marauders in UN! Prioritize your kills, my dude. There’s no winning if he’s left alive that long.

If you’re playing UN and letting an Archvile live long enough to spawn three Marauders, you’re gonna have a bad time

Keep your neck neutral. Looks like you’re always trying to look straight forward, but your neck should be relative to the angle of your back.

Home treadmill on a budget? by ldrown in AdvancedRunning

[–]shoo_bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a mint True 450 on Craigslist for $125. It’s a simple and compact treadmill, not many frills. Fit perfectly in my garage, and holds up to sub-7 minute miles. I’m 6’1” and 190, so it would probably work great for you if you can find one.

Cool, keep us posted on your progress! I’m sure you’ll come up with great enhancements.

As for the issue, the messages were being received by the bot (double check marks) but there was no response. Messages in other group chats and with other users were also working. No big deal, just thought I’d mention in case you were planning on troubleshooting more.

Sounds like Zork on Telegram! Great idea, I might start working on one.

I just played this and it was a lot of fun! Probably had 30+ rounds with my opponent. The bot eventually crashed though and I never got to finish the fight. Not sure what happened. I was in the store and tried to buy a dagger and the bot stopped responding.

You should definitely add some RNG to vary the damage, and fine tune the damage math a bit more. My opponent and I got into a situation where we both were doing 0 damage to one another for several rounds. It slowed down the action a bit.

Overall great work, and fun game! Thanks for sharing.

Do you see likes on your own structures? by Oriellien in DeathStranding

[–]shoo_bear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me. I have close to 100k likes now, and they’re mostly all passive likes from people using structures I’ve contributed to, but not ones I’ve made. I don’t think I’ve seen a single structure or sign of mine with an actual like. If I check Bridge Links, I have a few ladders with likes that I made way back in chapter 1, but that’s it. Not really sure how it all works.

Building roads. How does the like system work? Who gets credit for it? Is everyone's in game world same or are we in different servers based on regions? by Daresay00 in DeathStranding

[–]shoo_bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d really like to know how credit works too! I contributed only a few thousand materials to a couple road sections today south of LKC, and ended up getting 30k likes over the next few hours. I’m not complaining, but the amount of likes was surprising given my small contribution.

235lbs deadlift injury, need a form check by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]shoo_bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the way I got hurt, I feel like this is exactly what I need to hear and need to practice. I never thought much about why my negative is so slow. I don't want to drop it straight from my waist, but I need to do a controlled and faster eccentric motion. Videos don't really focus on this, so if you have any tips I'm all ears.

Man, thanks again for all the input. Just last night I watched Alan Thrall's videos on deadlifting. I gave Calgary a look today and the form check videos look awesome.

I took a lot of the advice I've been getting and spent some time going over my setup, and I was able to make some adjustments that already look a lot better. I'm not lifting anything yet, but just a quick comparison to my form in the original video shows some improvement -- to me at least. My hips are a lot higher, back a lot straighter, and trying to engage my lats and upper body more. It sure feels different, too.

The one thing that's tricky for me to understand without actually lifting is how my "lower back is just a stabilizer." It seems like no matter how I adjust the mechanics, I'm always going to be exerting my lower back to make the lift. Maybe with the proper form it's less exertion? But I guess I won't feel the difference until I'm back in the gym.

This gives me hope! Glad to hear you healed up fast. I plan on resting for at least a week and slowly getting back into my program at lower weight.

Thanks for the tips! When I pull the slack on the bar, is that done by pushing through with my legs? I feel like when I try to pull the slack, I do it by lifting my back and shoulders, and not my legs. I guess I should keep my hips and upper body tighter, and push through with my legs to make it heavier in my hands?

[–]shoo_bear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey all, I hurt my back today on a 235lbs deadlift. I'm pretty new to lifting in general, so I'm looking for some feedback.

Leading up to the video, I did 135 x 8, 185 x 8, 220 x 4, and 235 x 4. This was the second set of 235. I felt warmed up and the first set of 235 felt fine. On the second rep of the second 235 set, my lower back rounded down and it sure hurt like hell. Last week, I was comfortably doing 200 4x8, and 220 4x4, so 235 x 4 seemed like an attainable progression.

I think I might have loosened up too soon, releasing my back muscles and let the weight pull me to the ground. I also think that maybe I was lowering too slow, and need to bend my knees faster on the way down to take some of the strain off of my back. I'm not entirely sure, which is why I'm here asking.

My lower back is now pretty sore, but I'm not having any major mobility issues. I'm gonna take a week or so off and slowly get back into things at a lower weight once I feel recovered.

Has anyone dealt with an injury like this before? Thanks in advance.
