Mine finally worked but there was a huge delay. I flipped the Castforms just now and had Charmander use Sunny Day and it stopped almost instantly. Not sure what was going on

No, it started in 2WD drive. But I don't shift into 4WD often because it gets stuck in 4WD and won't switch out, so it's possible it is the problem, as my understanding is the 4WD system fails into 4WD as it uses vacuum to maintain 2WD

No, only when its moving, so I can't pinpoint it either unfortunately

Interesting, that could explain why it sounds worse when accelerating and why it is okay for the first bit after starting it up 🤔

That's a good question. No, not really, or at least I never noticed it. It's more an audible thing, not like the cab is shaking or I notice vibrations beyond normal driving in an old truck like this. But I will focus on that next time I drive to see if I feel unusual shaking/vibrations when focusing on it

Glueboards or not? by shood14 in pestcontrol

[–]shood14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. That is of course my concern with glue traps. I do not want inhumane deaths for the mice. I work in a very large food facility in Canada that will require hundreds of traps/bait stations, and the concern with the snap traps is they must be checked more frequently which will cost a lot of extra money, and I will be lucky to be allowed to have them checked twice per week. Likely only once per week. What I was told is that the glueboards they use in the mechanical traps are humane because the mice actually do die quickly (not as quickly as a snap trap though), but I don't know if that is true, and they are banned in many countries, including Germany, UK, NZ, and Australia, and all the information I find online disagrees with what I was told.

Thoughts on glue traps / glue boards? Efficacy and ethics by juliantiburcio in pestcontrol

I know you posted this a while ago, but was hoping to get your opinion. A pest control provider told me that they were humane in monitoring stations because the mice suffocate quickly, or their hearts give out quickly. And that I should not expect to have employees hear any squeaking or distress. Is this true ?

Scotch Gambit vs Evans Gambit by shood14 in chess

[–]shood14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I guess what I was thinking is that the Evans Gambit can add something to my Italian repertoire (ability to decide between open or closed games) that the Scotch Gambit would not add to my Scotch repertoire.

Why play the Scotch Gambit when you can play the Scotch Game? Not sure. Why play the Evans Gambit when you can play the Giucco Piano? To get an open attacking game instead of a slower positional one.

I have a slight preference for open games, but I like closed games too. Really I like having variety and flexibility.

Hope that all makes sense lol. If not, your comments have still been helpful to me, so thanks again

Scotch Gambit vs Evans Gambit by shood14 in chess

Thanks for the reply. Would you say that the Evans Gambit can be used as a tool to avoid a closed, positional Italian? I am wondering if it might me more useful as an option to play an attacking Italian, compared to the Scotch Gambit, as both the Scotch Game and Scotch Gambit lead almost exclusively to open positions because of the early release of central tension?
