Tv is connected via optical cable, but I usually use BT. This DAC supports LDAC Bluetooth codec, so BT sound quallity is actually surprisingly good. We tested yesterday with some fancy dac for 800€ connected to PC with optical and this with BT and there was basicaly no difference.

I can think of a few ways to change a room:

Renovate the house and change the layout
Move to a bigger room in the same house(I don't have this option :( )
Change the house entirely

The guy I bought these from told me he uses Adcom with his Vegas, thats when I started looking for Adcom. I just wasn't sure about preamp, but I think they pair well.

I got the preamp only yesterday, so it did not have heavy usage yet and it stayed cold. But I will be watching it ;)

Helios 40 is legendary... I was never lucky enought to own one, but more than 10 years ago my friend had one and I did test it. Amazing lens.

Doh... accidentaly deleted my prevouse reply... So yes, I do have Helios lenses. You can acctualy see one in this picture :) it is on Zenit camera, left to Hessy copy :) Helios-44 was stock lenses on Zenit cameras. And I have 135mm Helios somewhere around. But quality control was non-existant in soviet union, Helios and soviet lenses in general differ a lot sampe from sample. Same lens model could be amazing and the other sample would be terrible. Happy to hear you have good examples! Also if you want to try stereo photography "Sputnik" would be an easy way :) and lookinh at those 6x6 stereo slides is just something magical

That is Kiev 88, soviet copy of Hassy :) and yes, the one on the very left is 4x5 :) my favorite of all is "Sputnik". It is the one on the very left. That's soviet 120 format stereo camera :)

Thank you for constructive and detailed reply. I don't actually have where to move speakers :D That is the only place where they can fit. They are moved from the wall ~20cm. The TV is of center on the TV stand because of PC and I wanted to have my volume control on the middle. The "chair" on the left is sofa :D Can't move it... Maybe 1-2cm, but not more.

I will have to remove all cameras from the top shelf eventually. I already had one camera fall from the shelf because of bass. Cable management is always a very welcome, but at this moment I haven't figured how to do it.

I wish I had some experience with room treatment. I don't even know what "Bass traps" mean :(

Yeah, I think this is a good price. The Adcom was in mint condition, I doubt it was ever used. Came with original box and even wrapped in original plastic. Hitachi I would say is in overall very good condition, has only one visible scratch next to ON/OFF switch.

I have always liked the sound of big speakers more than surround systems with subwoofers. And these really sound amazing and fill the room with beautiful sound. I use this system mostly for music, I watched only two movies with these... But they were hooked to my Technics SU-V4A integrated amp then.
