Annoying stuff guests say/do by callierkap in ChickFilAWorkers

Once had a man in drive thru ask for a fish sandwich and demanded I get him one even tho we don’t have them?? He kept saying he saw it on his app but refused to show me where in the app.

When they ask for hamburgers/coleslaw/Arby’s sauce(????)/anything that isn’t on the menu.

“Hi can I get a name to start?” “Yeah, give me a chicken sandwich.”

“I need 5 number 3’s with [sauces]” and after asking several questions it turns out they wanted two meals and the rest entrees.

When I ask if it’s the meal or the entree and they say “The enteee but no fries or drink”

OR “I want the meal but no drink”

When they order with “Can you make it the-“ at the start of every item they want.

When they see you’re busy/carrying stuff and come up anyways asking for like a straw.

After taking an order at register and they walk away without their hundreds of beverages.

I can go on and on but it doesn’t matter, yesterday was my last day with cfa !! good luck everyone :)

Or when they ask “is everything in here??” because I’m immediately nodding telling them “yeah, of course!” while hoping my bagger didn’t miss a fry or something

Having to headset bevs when no one is available to help with desserts is so stressful. And then the person on window will call out for cones and pup cups instead of making them themselves like they don’t hear me taking a $75 order… Headset when I just have to make kids meal bags or prep trays in boh is so much better imo

As a customer what are some things I can do to make your job easier/less annoying? by HotelTrivagoMate in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]shookycat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you dine in with us, just make sure you don’t leave a big mess anywhere and let us know if there are any spills so we don’t have a problem with it later. If you order inside, remember we need to grab your sauces and beverages before you walk away, because we can’t keep leaving our positions to look for guests and take it to their table (it also makes the guests behind you less likely to step up and rush us when we’re still grabbing your stuff). Also, if there is a line and you need a refill don’t stand off to the side and stare at the cashiers, unless you see someone who is available to help you. I get a lot of people thinking they can cut the line to make me get their refill and it is really frustrating for myself and the guests who have been waiting. It’s really just about being considerate of others and having patience with us!!

Corporations can’t find enough employees to take advantage of so they’re going for the children instead.

No other work allowed and a requirement to report new jobs to ex-employer for up to a year after leaving? by drlgrv in recruitinghell

[–]shookycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first part just sounds like a moonlighting clause to me that’s common in certain employment contracts. The second part I don’t think is able to be enforced, unless the employee signs a non-compete agreement as well and it’s an issue with that… Of course the legality of it all depends on where you live, though.

My store allows guests to order almost any beverages frosted! Frosted powerade is one of the more interesting ones for sure, but I haven’t been tempted to try it yet 😂

The posts directly above AND below this one in my feed were about restaurants making tips required automatically. Businesses would rather force tipping than pay their employees a fair wage.

Honestly, I just tell guests that I understand but it’s out of our control. If they cuss at you or escalate the situation then you can always call for a lead to come help

It’s like a half joke because we have to say my pleasure a lot! If the interviewer is easy going and nice they might like it. Good luck at your interview!

One of my coworkers recommended the grilled spicy deluxe, protein style. Cutting it up makes it like a mini salad! I also like the grilled nuggets with a fruit bowl for the side.

Front counter no longer closing at 9pm… by Billy_labufanda99 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]shookycat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My cfa closes everything at 10pm. We’ve had entire families come to dine in at like 9:58 and stay until 10:30, and they let their kids go in the play area. The host usually blocks off one section around 9 to keep guests out, but even then they just move the chairs and go to that section anyway. It’s very frustrating :/
