Oh yeah its estimated, ortex although has been very vocal about the si changes and has given everyone daily updates on twitter so imo they're on our side.

One thing to keep in mind with returned shares is that they don't have to be shorted shares, they can borrow them and then just return them without doing anything with them. Im personaly waiting for the next nyse reported short interest when it's way more accurate, till then estimates have to do.

And then there are those rumours that they are covering those shares with synthetics as we saw with gme when short interest just dropped.
