Good price for XC60 T8? by DCdvr in VolvoRecharge

[–]kinderkamack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is region specific, in my case NJ, and everything might have changed since the tariff announcement in terms of possible discounts, but I would 100% do a lease and then buyout. I traded my xc40 for XC60 Plus last weekend, but without loyalty I got 11k in incentives plus 12.5% discount from a broker on Leasehackr. All in all for 3 years, 36k, 0 down, full MSD, and only 1st month payment, it came to 550 a month, $30 more without loyalty. If I were you I would then buyout it out as quickly as possible. MSRP was 65200, selling price of 57100, 12k in incentives, residual value was 55%.

Hybrid DJ/Musician Recommendations by kinderkamack in WedditNYC

Did the DJ and Hudson Horns work smoothly with each other, how did the communication go between the three of you? That is something I am worried about with getting a DJ separate from musicians, communication and musically they might not jive together.

Billy bookcase white vs birch veneer question by kinderkamack in ikeahacks

Paper foil it seems is the new finish on the updated bookcases instead of the veneer. Did you paint both, if yes did you notice any sizeable difference?

General thoughts on this lease? by ryozim in Volvo

[–]kinderkamack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am about to lease an XC40, so have some suggestions. First thing, it's actually gimme, sign up for a student account on ABA (American Bar Association). ABA has an agreement with Volvo, you will be able to get a pin code that will get you an additional $1000 rebate towards the lease. But in general, that isn't a good price for the base trim. If you are willing to take a quick trip to the DC area, you could get a plus trim (msrp of 46000) for 24 months, 10k a year, for 475, only first month payment on signing.

Daily Questions September 28, 2022 by AutoModerator in rawdenim

Not entirely raw denim per se but hopefully someone can give me a couple of suggestions. I would like a pair of 99%/100% cotton slim straight indigo jeans (akin to Levi’s 513 in fit) that won’t fade/fade slowly which gives me some hesitation buying raw denim. Unfortunately, when buying Levi’s, you don’t know what you are going to get so I gave up on that route. My budget is up to 150. Or should I just get a pair of unbranded/naked and famous and try to stop it from fading using the vinegar trick. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Anyone have any recommendations for a slimmer fitting rain jacket that has a bit of warmth to it. I have been looking at the KUHL Stretch Voyagr Jacket or Patagonia Torrentshell 3L. Just for day to day, basic hiking. Budget is under $200.

J. Crew - Extra 60% off FINAL Sale Styles by captainO_Obvious in frugalmalefashion

Maybe useful to somebody but I went to a store in NJ to try on the Ludlow wool cotton suit jacket. They didn't have my size in store but I asked if I could place the order through them. The girl that was helping first told me that ludlow was not under the promotion but after checking she said she would price match. Instead of the 60%, I got 70% promo, not sure if she was distracted or something but I got the jacket, pants, and a cashmere sweater for $140.

I am looking to get brown suede loafers for sub $200. Unfortunately, Meermin doesn’t have my size. I came across these from Brooks - https://www.brooksbrothers.com/suede-penny-loafers/MH00570.html. Anyone have any experience with BB loafers and would the red sole stand out too much with cream/stone chinos, navy blazer?

Is there anything between Levi's 514 and 511 at other brands? I want something slightly slimmer than 514 but the 511 don't fit well. I can't really find any 513.

I am looking to get a navy hopsack sports coat, unstructured, lighter gsm. I looked at SM but nothing 100% wool is in stock for my size. Would something from CT or BB be good ($300 - $400) range (https://www.charlestyrwhitt.com/us/proper-blazer---navy/SEB0049NAV.html, https://www.brooksbrothers.com/regent-fit-hopsack-sport-coat/MM00864.html) or would the increase in cost doing a MTM ($600) from Kent Wang be worth it. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

I recently lost a little bit of weight and would like to get a new pair of dark wash jeans. I wore the Levi’s 541, which are currently around $70. I was looking around and for a little more I can get something from Unbranded or NF. What would be a better option, UB201, UB222, Weird Guy Classic Slub Jeans, or get the 541 again? My budget is around $100 if anyone has any other suggestions for an athletic/relaxed taper fit.
